If I could give 10 stars I would.
I have been working on building a stereo system for the last couple of years. I have researched components for my Lexus HS250h and have been to several shops to get an estimate as to what it would cost to install and the time it would take. I spent around two weeks stopping off at different shops in the area. My first stop was Foss. I spoke with CJ and he was very up front and professional. However, I felt his quote was really high. I ended up at three different car toys (all gave different quotes all over the board.) I ended up at Epic customs in Tacoma. Great clean shop. However, I was not going to pay their install cost (The install cost was thousands and more than the cost of my total equipment to be installed.) I even went to Best Buy and found out they do not build custom boxes. Zero fabrication. I ended up going to a trusted source and they ended up messing up my car, stereo and interior. I thought I could save a buck or three by going this route. Boy was I wrong. Lexus was going to charge on the upwards of 2k just to put my car back together. On the strength of a friends recommendation I ended up calling CJ back at Foss Audio & Tint. Albeit I was very embarrassed that I passed them up to begin with. CJ and his team of trained staff were confident they could do the install as well as put my poor Lexus back together. I have a few thousand dollars in equipment. I am fully aware that quality and speed usually does not go hand in hand. I was prepared to leave my vehicle for a few days. However, after I saw what they could do as far as customizations my order changed. I wanted another sub. I changed processors, I swapped my mids and tweets to a better model. I didn't feel any pressure to do so. I wanted the best that I could afford. I also utilized their MESA Credit (easy credit app. I was approved in less than 5 minutes.) After my indecisiveness CJ and Sean were able to create a high fidelity showpiece that sounds monstrous, turns heads and is 100% hidden. YES HIDDEN. I also had a custom alarm with remote start installed. It is pretty awesome. I can track my cars location, see how fast it is going and can even remotely kill it (like the bait car tv show.)
The bottom line is that these guys do custom boutique work. They are upfront and they are honest. They know what competitors charge and they know their boundaries. They were able to answer my questions. If they didn't have an answer they did some research and took the time to get back to me. If you can dream it. They can build it.
If you have any questions or want to see my car please drop me a...
Read moreThe tint job I had done was done well and super reasonably priced. If that was the extent of the review it'd be 5 stars. However, 2 feels a little generous given the rest of the experience.
I asked if they were able to also do a chrome delete, and the tint guy said he could and quoted me a reasonable price on it. Work day comes and I dropped my car off at 9am. Around 4:30pm I called and they said it'd be done around 6pm. I asked if it was ok to pick up a little after hours since they closed at 6:00, and they said it was. I called back again at 5:45 to let them know I'd be there at 6:30, and they said that was fine. And then...
Then they tell me that they couldn't figure out how to get the job done. After assuring me they could, after having my car an entire day, and after no update that they were having trouble when I called previously. No communication about issues up to that point. I was under the assumption I was picking up a finished vehicle and all they'd managed to do was the front windshield tint that I'd also requested.
When I got there and spoke to the tint guy he explained the trouble he was having, which would have been fine if they'd bothered to keep me informed along the way. He talked about watching YT videos, which also is fine, but if you're doing work you're unfamiliar with maybe do your homework before the customer drops their car off. The tint guy had also clearly very recently gotten high as he reeked of weed smoke. Again, I don't care about that, but do that on your own time. We talked about rescheduling and he said he'd come and do it on his day off, which was Monday.
Monday rolls around and I dropped my car off at 9am. I got a call at 10:30 that the guy doing the work hadn't shown up. He continued to not show up the entire day and the work remained undone, again. Also, while on the phone the call dropped. The person didn't bother to call me back and didn't answer when I immediately called them back. So, another $20 to Uber to go pick up a car that sat all day, for no reason. When I got there I couldn't find anyone so I took my keys off the desk and left.
The work they know how to do is fine. They overcommitted, over promised and didn't just under deliver, they didn't deliver at all and wasted my time and my money on needing to get rides back and forth. Their communication flat out sucks and is next to non existent.
Bottom line: the tint was fine. If you want a decent job at a decent price then these guys are fine. But absolutely don't ask for anything outside of the basics, because they have demonstrated they can't fulfill...

I had my windows tinted here about a month ago.
One of the worst customer service I’ve ever experience.. I called a few times before I was able to make an appointment. I also recall having to call and leaving a voicemail, and never receiving call back.
Not just that, after my installation. I had informed them of the terrible job in the back window (see photos). Yet I was dismissed and the installer didn’t even want to check and told me “give it a week and it’ll go away.” I said okay and took his word for it, since he is the expert... this isn’t also the first time I had a car done professionally so I kind already knew he was wrong to begin with.
Now here we are... instead of taking a few second to check my rear.. I need to come back to have my rear window redone. Upon scheduling my appointment a second time, I was help by an installer (who I won’t name), but he looked like he was drugged up. He couldn’t even navigate through his schedule without the help of his co-worker at the front desk. His eyes also kept rolling back...
Honestly, at this point I am concern about my rear window getting worst than it already is. Also, what the hell is the deal with nobody picking up the phone or even calling back? I have to call at least 2 to 3 time to get someone to pick up. I am also entrusting them with my car over New Years because their “best installer” is only available on Thursday... which honest doesn’t make me feel any better... shouldn’t everyone be the best at their jobs?
I just really hope they’re able to do a better job this time around then I’ll update my overall experience. Other than that, I kind of wish I did more research before deciding to go with these guys. —————————
Update 1/2/20: They fixed my tint at no cost and even though they did a better job this time. I still can’t get back the time I lost from working with them in the first place. Probably will never go back here tbh.
—————————
Update 4/1/21: I decided to give them another go this year. The Groupon deal is too good to pass up. So my wife’s 2020 CRV had factory tint but not foe the front, and had them done. Was done perfectly! So, I took my 2015 Mustang GT and got them fully tinted.. I have to say my experience with these guys are better this year than the last year. I highly recommend them now. Great price,...
