We asked for a table for 4 and got seated quickly, but it went downhill pretty fast.
We didn’t have a menu for over 20 mins, because apparently they don’t want our money yet. One of us ended up having to go ask for menus.
They must have forgotten that we were there because 35 mins after we had to stop a waitress to ask to take our order.
Finally ordered. I had just noticed that all the staff was wearing their face masks correctly, except for the manager, who thought it looked good resting on his top lip. Man, I feel safe. Oh well, COVID is probably a conspiracy anyway.
About 10 mins later the table by us (who came in AFTER us), had already eaten, and left.
One hour in, and no food. Ok, I was getting pretty irritated. Did I mention the water, just kidding there was no water. Had to ask for that too.
We stopped the waitress again to ask about our food and she said, “Oh, they lost your ticket, but they’re bringing it out any minute now. Sorry about the wait, it’s busy, and we didn’t even know we were working today”
Weird. I didn’t even know that you’re working right now!
Wait a sec. You think this is busy? All restaurants are currently operating at FIFTY PERCENT CAPACITY. Where did this go to hire these guys? Labor Ready? 🧐
The old employees must still be at home getting an extra $600 a week. I’m so glad I’m paying for that.
I got so bored waiting for our food that I started to watch my brother’s facial hair grow since I know that would be be the first thing that would be reaching our table tonight.
1 hour 15 mins: WE’RE GETTING FOOD!
Oh wait, it’s the wrong food. And it’s cold. Normally Mexican restaurants’ plates are so hot you could get a sunburn. These plates felt like they just found them in the back of the fridge. God, that was a cold tamale.
So, they brought the wrong food, went back and got the right food, but that was cold too and missing half of the tamales.
Ok, screw this. Time to go.
We told the waitress that we were just going to leave.
“Ok, wait. I’ll go get my manager”
Here comes Mr. Half Mask
We told him our complaints. He apologized and said “I’ve been working the bar all night and I don’t have control over what they (the staff) do.”
Weird, if only they had a...
Read moreWe went back and it was too full they said the wait would be 40 mins so we left because we only have an hour for lunch.
We went again today May 26 the wait was long, we ordered pretty quick but the wait for the food took way too long. The server young girl didn’t come back to check on us no chip refill. We had an hour and it took almost the whole hour and when we got the food it came in wrong and we didn’t have time to have it corrected so we were forced to leave without eating:/ can’t believe we spent that much time there without eating, terrible service and food came in wrong. What happened to this place? The other young girl who was running the shift was short with manners didn’t seem to have any concern for us or others walking in. We said we had to leave but no apology from either one for us not being able to eat. Do not come here if you are on lunch from work you may or may not have enough time.
I hope the manager or owner contacts me regarding my last two visits here
This place is a gem, not a great looking place nor a name (Fiesta Taqueria) that you would think it’s a legitimate Mexican restaurant that has great food. When I look for good place to eat I look for high ratings and look at pics but the name usually has some appeal in most case. Not here don’t be fooled, the food is really good the portions are beyond generous. Coming from Southern California where there are many great Mexican restaurants to choose from we have struggled to find a authentic food to go back to. Now I just got a Carnitas street burrito and I must say it was huge and also very tasty. I only ate a little over have. My wife got shrimp tacos which was kind of a substitute or special order which they made without any hesitation.
Our server Joanne was awesome! We never had to ask for more chips or their bean dip they give you included with the chips. The margaritas were also good not too sweet nor too bitter. We live in Tacoma but will certainly be back.
The dining area atmosphere needs some help, not too cozy pretty plain. Judging by the outside front of the restaurant or the inside I would normally pass but I’m glad we stopped and ate here.
I recommend this place for a good...
Read moreWent here tonight with 4 of my friends. We ordered drinks, enchiladas, quesadillas, and more. I ate the beans that came with my quesadilla and about 1/2 out of two enchiladas I ordered. While eating my enchilada I bit into a hard, sharp chicken bone. I acknowledged the waitress who had already forgotten half of our drinks and was incapable of refilling a lemonade and Dr Pepper… I told her and showed her the actual bone that was in my mouth that I could’ve choked on. No apology, she just said “I’ll be right back”. About 10 minutes pass by and I look up and see her eating in front of customers while I’m waiting to speak to her about the food I don’t trust to eat anymore. A younger girl came by and I spoke to her and she apologized and said she would remove it from the bill. About another 20 minutes passes by and we had to go up to the bar and ask for our checks. The waitress who was EATING brought our checks and my meal with the chicken bone was still on there. She started to argue with me and say that I ate half my food so she will not to take it off the bill. I told her that another waitress told me it would be taken off. I told her I was not paying for a meal that I couldn’t finish because of a sharp object in my food. If I would’ve swallowed the sharp bone it could’ve punctured something and put me in the hospital. She looked me in my face and said “our chicken comes like that sometimes.” I asked to speak to a manager and she brings us a phone number and MAKES US CALL HER MANAGER. She couldn’t call, she made us cal. We explained to him that all we want is the meal taken off because it wasn’t eaten and we will not pay for their mistake. We told him about how the extremely rude waitress was actually arguing with us about a meal that was inedible. We didn’t get an apology and we told him that all of this can be avoided if our meal is discounted. He told us we didn’t have to pay whatsoever and we’re free to leave. Would not recommend to anyone who wants a good fun dining experience or someone who doesn’t want bones in their food. Terrible, slow,...
