Faxon Park is a solid place for outdoor activities. The trails are mostly clean, but I did notice some litters and a few glass shards on the trails. There are several parking lots throughout the park, which makes access easy from different areas.
The sports facilities are excellent. I noticed a lot of well-maintained football field, baseball field, basketball court, and table tennis tables. The highlight for me is the 8 pickleball courts, which are super clean and available to Quincy residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Plus, there’s a parking lot right next to the pickleball area.
Picnic areas are hit or miss. One was clean and well-kept, while another looked run-down and had an overflowing trash can nearby. They are also far from a lot of sports facilities.
