Zakia's Brow Bar — Local services in Radnor Township

I’ve been going to Zakia since 2015. I remember seeing a friends brows and complimenting how good they looked. My friend then gave me Zakias information via Instagram. I couldn’t wait to sit in her chair and get my brows SLAYED! When I tell you she delivered, SHE DELIVERED! She gained a customer for life that day. In 2015, Zakia was working out of her home, running this business by her lonesome. Each and every time I made an appointment with her, my results were always satisfying!! She’d dedicate herself to this business day in and day out. She would even make accommodations to her schedule to service me. Fast forward 4 years, and her business and clientele has now grown tremendously! She now has a beautiful shoppe named “ZAKIAS BROW BAR”. You can schedule an appointment in the shoppe with her receptionist or on the app “style seat”. Either way, be sure to book in advance as slots fill up extremely fast. She has 5 other technicians at the brow bar who equally have mastered eye care! I can say that I’ve gotten multiple services including wax shape and tint (which is my favorite),henna tinting, mink lash extensions, faux extensions, lash strips and my most recent service was her signature microshading ombré brows. Each service has left me in awe. Zakia will knowledgeably answer any questions or concerns regarding a service you’re curious about. While being serviced, Zakia will explain each step as she goes. This is something I absolutely adore because it creates trust and ensures a great outcome! I have nothing but amazing things to say about every single last interaction I’ve had there! The shoppe is well lit, very welcoming, the ambiance is perfect, staff greets you and helps you accordingly. The workspaces are clean and comfortable. I make sure to refer each person who inquires about my lashes or brows to Zakia’s Brow Bar because I’m confident they too will become a lifelong customer. She is able to make me feel so feminine, so pretty and gives me such an added boost of confidence, it’s crazy. I want everyone woman to experience it! She’s made me feel important as a customer and I’m baffled that some may have had any other kind of experience there. I’ve gone swimming with lashes and brows, I’ve worked out and sweat profusely, still my brows are in tact. Lashes may fall off here and there but that’s expected! Her business has done well and I’m excited to watch it expand in the future. To me, shes the G.O.A.T because I can see her passion...

Do not waste your time like I did! Zakia does not value new customers or their time. She only cares about herself. I scheduled my microshading appointment in May 2020 for August 18th at 2pm. A few days later the time moved up to 1pm. I was ok with not being consulted because the appointment was months away. 3 days before my appointment, while I was at work, I was asked if I could come in at 12:20pm. I informed them that I couldn't, but would need to check my schedule. By the time I got home that evening I received notification that my appointment time changed without my consent. I brought this to her attention and she blocked me from her social media after one inquiry and canceled all future appointments with her. She refused to reschedule my appointments and expected me to apologize to her for the way I reacted. I simply wanted to know why her time was more important than mine. I still don't know why. I was only told that the time no longer worked for her. If you have anything negative to say about her she blocks you and attacks you via social media. I reported her to the BBB, but there was nothing they could do. I don't condone not supporting black businesses, but take your hard earned money to a black business that values their clients and treats them...

I did not want post this experience but others should caution. I arrived on time but had to wait more that 20 minutes. Then get numbing cream which is an additional wait while Zakia finished her clients. Fast forward, I was not pleased with the brow service. She told me she could not continue because her next clients were ready. I reached out the next day to her assistant because I traveled out of state. She took five days to respond and that my only option was to rebook after healing for touch up service. My Brows are severely uneven, Zakia reaction, "brows are sisters not twins". For future clients take pictures during the process send texts pictures out for second opinions before her needle touches your face. I pray this helps future clients and Zakia brow bar customer service gets better. Especially for traveling customers. Edit. This is not a lie I received service in March 2023.
