Any pain/discomfort: Minimal during the surgery. A 1,000 mg Tylenol will be fine before the surgery. They will inject tiny pinches of injection to inject the fluid to numb the donor and recipient area and it is like a small mosquito bite. After the area is numbed, it will not matter much. All you will know that some work is getting done on your scalp. I did not even feel the need for any laughing gas, although it is available. The surgery may take 3-4 hours of longer depending on how many grafts are implanted. You will have a lunch break if the surgery is for many hours and the office was sweet to bring my favorite food choices out of their own expenses. One advice is to walk for 15 minutes to half an hour, drink some water, have a healthy snack after the surgery is complete. I was able to drive back home without feeling any discomfort. Keep your car window closed as you drive and avoid any tendency to scratch which the office would advice in the post-op care.

Recovery: I did not take any Tylenol or any pain medication after the surgery. I used airplane pillow and kept the head elevated. I felt tendency to scratch the head but the solution provided by the office helped calm down the scalp so that I could avoid scratching. When I called for the consultation and needed to schedule the consultation as well as the non invasive procedure, things moved very fast but when I had abnormal side affects and discomfort, I could not get them to call me back and I called 6 times within a 5 week period of time before giving up. I stopped calling once the discomfort went away. A few days after my appointment, I began feeling a super soreness and saw bruising. I did the cool sculpting on my love handles and began feeling a discomfort for my clothes to even touch those spots. When I began feeling the pain, I called and left messages via voicemail and the admin staff. No one ever called me back.

I finally gave up and just requested my before photos so once October came around, I could at least compare the photos to see if it was worth the pain (which lasted 3 weeks ish). I first requested my photos via phone call in August 2 times, Again in September. I can't remember exactly when I received my photos but it took weeks from my initial request. I also complained about the service I received to the receptionist and still no one ever called me back. Aside from all of that, I work out 6 times a week and saw NO difference in the area that I did the cool sculpting on. Save your money. Its way to expensive, painful and not helpful.
