Nadeau - Furniture With a Soul — Local services in Raleigh

If high-quality, "farmhouse rustic" furniture is your vibe, you really owe it to yourself to check out Nadeau. I don't understand how they can offer such fantastic value and still afford to retain really nice and incredibly helpful (and not-remotely-pushy) staff.

We've probably bought a 10-15 different pieces over the years from more than one Nadeau location and have never been less than thrilled with what we got. And when you factor in what we paid, I mean come on. There's really no comparison.

Here are just two examples. We just bought an 8', solid wood dining table. Go to any of the other places you'd expect to find similarly-styled furniture and you'll be paying $2k to upwards of $5k for a table. Ours was $714 from Nadeau. And without having to be asked, the staff at the Raleigh store took it up on themselves to assemble the legs and support structure onsite, just to be sure we didn't have any issues when we got home. And to top it all off, they pulled the table to the front of the store and staged it with the set of dining chairs ($135 each...solid wood...are you kidding me?!?!) we were also buying at the same time.

And special thanks to their regional buyer who happened to be visiting the store the day we were there. He spent an inordinate amount of time helping us with selection. And he was quite happy to point out when a piece we were considering might clash with other colors/textures/finishes we described in our house (even though validating our choice might have made for a quicker sale).

In my opinion, there simply isn't a better value to be had anywhere for furniture of this quality, style and variety....

Let me tell you how FABULOUS both Nadeau and Chris (the amazing man who works there) are. I own a shop in downtown, Raleigh, and at this point it’s mostly furnished by Nadeau and furniture I inherited from my mother and uncle. For the past few years (more than a few) I’ve come to Nadeau to peruse every single object in here. No one bothers me, they always remember me, and they get the job done quickly. ‘The job’ being that I want what I want immediately. Like, I show up and leave with large furniture within hours. On top of this Chris actually selects what comes to the Raleigh location. He has impressive taste and the arrangements he creates on the floor are inspirational. Walked into the Raleigh location, and was quickly acknowledged. Immediately after completing a transaction with another customer, we were in the hands of the sales person. We showed him a dinette table and chairs we were interested in. He gave us additional specs about the wood, (no veneer here), and origin. There were 6 chairs around the table and we stated that we only needed 4.
