Hello, I was the cashier (December 1st was my last day, I got fired for telling customers I don't like my job because they don't treat me good and that I go home crying sometimes which is true š). Most of the workers are amazing people, most of the management are jokes except one and she works so hard, and the food is good the only reason I worked there and put up with standing in one spot for hours with little pay and all kinds of people being nice or rude. Nothing new to me same old story of me putting in the time and getting mistreated just wanted to add a review because it's available, I've worked there and can tell you how it is and goes. I had customers ask if I was ok or them asking other employees if I'm ok and I appreciate that I really do but this job had me even more depressed and I have Suicidal Depression. I'm really sorry if I came off rude, I never meant to upset or make someone's day bad I'm just there 5 out of 7 days constantly suffering and didn't look for another job because I live in the neighborhood behind there and was hoping for a raise for the amount of work I put in. The job barley gave me enough to pay bills and help my mom with cancer and my dog with a bad pancreas so of course I'd go home crying I'm not making enough or that I'm a failure. This job isn't good, servers really do rely on tips to live they don't make much per hour and cashier sucked because standing in one spot but I was the only one not on my phone or leaning looking bored and tired yet I'm the problem. If you don't know me then at least you know my story and if you do know or at least you do then I was the tall Hispanic man always there always smiling until months went by and the smile went away and last month was wearing a black mask. I hope you all take care (except the management minus the one lady in the team that has been kind to me day 1) and thank you for reading this if you did! Don't look for a job here you can do so much better than this I just continued suffering because of how close it is and barley paid the bills which is why I worked like crazy for a potential raise but nope. They wouldn't even let me say bye to the one's I cared about that were working...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAhem where do I start. Well as a manager and a consumer I have expectations from stores and restaurants. Those expectations are set high because I do above and beyond my best to provide great customer service. I expect the same. The customer is not always right but you can still provide great customer service.
Poor customer service from the manager. I am so happy his staff is better than his showings. At least after a conversation with him about "the principal" and had he just simply stated "at this time we cannot accommodate such a large party" how much better it would have been to me the consumer.
On Monday April 5, 15 of us walked into this restaurant after a fun packed day. The kids were hungry.
We were initially told that one section was closed. We walked around and found only two tables. That would be 8 seats. The rest of the tables were pushed together and full for other large parties.
I went back to the front and asked where do we sit and what should we do. I was asked one moment. The lady then went and spoke with someone who instructed us to sit in a section towards the back.
1st the table was dirty. We didn't even care. I found a rag and wiped it down.
Then the disrespect starts. The manager says "hope you know, you not getting no drinks or service since you sitting in that section". Immediately the manager in me said "sir that's not accept. The consumer I'm me "marched to the front and requested a refund.
It's all about delivery with me. Its my money and if your establishment is not meeting my demands, I kindly leave. Maybe next time it will be better but this time, it was not to my liking.
Update: literally 5 minutes after I left that section was opened for a similar situation. He was forced too or give out more refunds.
I did go to another Golden Corral on Grenelle and...
