Asian Grocery — Local services in Rapid City

I was new in town and looking for Asian grocery options when Google Maps led me to this store. I discovered that the owner is Filipino, which made me even more excited. Whenever there's a small business like this, especially owned by a kababayan, we should check it out and show our support.

When I visited, I had a quick chat with the owner and noticed that the store is tidy and stocked with some Asian and Filipino goodies, including a few frozen items. I do wish there were more options, but I understand that the limited population and the challenging weather here can affect the supply.

Definitely on the small side, with limited selection... having gotten used to living places with (or within easy driving distance of) fairly large Asian supermarkets, this being the only option in Rapid City is pretty sad to me. But honestly... as far as cities go, Rapid City itself is pretty sad to me... so I am happy that one exists here at all! Although I do understand that this is the 'only' Asian grocery store in Rapid City, I'm not sure if it warrants the owner to charge at least 75% higher than a typical store! Items that one may find in a normal Asian grocery store are priced so high that I was limited to purchase only a few 'essential' items. Yes, supply and demand concept is in play, here.
