I never leave reviews but I had an awful experience. I called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist would NOT let me make one because I’m an essential worker and she said I have to quarantine 14 days before coming in (even though I just checked and last Friday the CDC dropped the quarantine recommendations a lot of places). I literally can NOT quarantine for 14 days because I NEED to work and can’t take off 14 days in order to be allowed to come in for a healthcare appointment. She proceeded to mean laugh at me before saying “we have pregnant women here you can’t come in” in an awful tone and I felt like I just got slapped in the face because of my essential job I’m required to still go into. If I was a pregnant woman working at an essential job because I was required to and also needed the money, would I still not be allowed to come in either? And why would I come in if I felt I’ll in the first place? Plus I would get a temperature check before the appointment anyway. I just think she could have handled it better because it made me really, really genuinely sad after I got off the phone and ruined my whole day. I felt like she was being mean to me for something I didn’t do nor can control. I’ve made other healthcare and dentist appointments this month and they all welcomed me with open arms even though I literally could not quarantine 14 days before coming in. I’m perfectly healthy and get temperature checks with my job and I really NEEDED this appointment for my health. I called another place and they scheduled me in right away so I guess in a way I’m thankful I didn’t get to come here. I don’t think anyone should be made to feel so UNWELCOME or bad for having an essential job where they literally can’t quarantine before coming in. I, and every other essential worker, should be allowed to make appointments just as much as anyone else...
Read moreHorrible. I got new health insurance cards and the insurance company automatically game me a doctor because I didn't have a certain family doctor that I use. The name for my Given doctor(s) read "Hunterdon Family" in the card so I looked it up here on google and what came up was this office. I was very sick so I immediately called for a doctors visit. The receptionist checked my insurance card and proceeded to charge me the $10 co pay. They did take me the same day and I was in there and out really quick. About two weeks later I was back in because I wasn't getting better and the medicine ran out. Again the receptionist checked my card and charged me the $10 co pay and I went on my way. A month passed and I start getting bills got my doctor visits. Called the insurance and they told me the doctors that seen me where not on the group that covers me. So I called the office to ask what's going on. Well the billing lady tells me that I'm getting billed because my insurance doctors or doctor group was from "Hunterdon Family Medicine" and not their office or doctors so I was being charged for the visits. And I went nuts !!! It's the job of the receptionist to check my insurance to know if I'm covered for that office or not and it's their her job to let me know that ! I know this because my wife works at an Pediatricians office and that's her job to check the insurance of all the patients! She not only missed this one time, she let me come for another visit and missed it then. Great at doing her job ain't she?!?!?!?! That left me $240 in debt to them when all this could have been avoided by her checking me insurance and letting me know I was at the wrong office. Don't recommend this doctor group to no one. Not only did it cost me $240 because of her lack of professionalism, until this day I'm still suffering from the same illness they didn't help...
Read moreVery disappointed with this group. After being a long time patient of Christina I was recently dismissed from the practice. No phone call, no letter sent. I had made a payment a late and it was sent to collections but also wasn’t told for 6 months that there was an issue getting my physical to go through my insurance. I was also told different prices for what I owed which didn’t help the situation. I had also called the office with questions a couple times and although it says to allow 48 hours for a call back there were a few times they never called back. I went to call to schedule my physical and was only told then that I had been released from the practice. I take high blood pressure medication, suffer from anxiety and depression ( can’t even take medication for my anxiety or depression bc the meds make me very sick so I suffer in silence) I was told they would only give me two weeks of my blood pressure medication which meant I had only 2 weeks to find a new doctor. I’m a single mom as well and I work. I also worked in a pediatric doctors office for over 11 years and our practice always sent a letter and allowed 30 days for acute appointments. None of this o received from this practice. So now I’m on a situation where I’m running out of medication that is practically life saving and need to pray someone will see me. Very very disappointed. No office manager even wanted to hear my side or give me the time of day. Disappointed is an understatement. I’ve seen Christina since she did her internship and also worked with her on my internship as a medical assistant. I’ve known her as well as my family did for many years. Found this all to be highly unprofessional. I wasn’t a repeated offender yet no one wants to here my side. I pray I find a new doctor in time of my meds running out. Just thought others should...
