UPSET BRIDE…I purchased my fiancé’s wedding band at AH Fisher. After speaking with the owner, Alan, via e-mail for a month I asked him if he would be able to clean and re-finish my engagement ring in time for the wedding. My band has a satin finish so I made it clear in SEVERAL e-mails that I wanted to re-finish the BAND only and clean the entire engagement ring. He told me he could do it in house in a day or send it out and it would take a week. I told him that I would prefer to do it in house (what bride would want to send their engagement ring in the mail right before their wedding day?). I told him I would have my fiancé drop it off so he could take care of it. The day my fiancé dropped off the ring, I followed up with an e-mail (b/c Alan had communicated with me via e-mail throughout the entire process) and did not hear from him. I sent another e-mail and then called and left a message that I wanted to make sure he got my ring and if it was ready. Alan called me back and the first thing he said to me was “You are really getting on my nerves”. Now, what kind of customer service is that? How can you tell a customer they are getting on your nerves when I paid a good amount of money to get a wedding band for my future husband at your store?!?! I asked him why and he told me he keeps getting empty e-mails from me. Now if I was a shop owner, had someone’s engagement ring in my possession and was receiving blank e-mails, I would think the customer was trying to get in touch with me. He told me the ring was ready and that he called my fiancé right after he dropped it off to let him know, however he had the wrong number so we did not get the message. HE DID HAVE MY NUMBER AS WELL BUT I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. I went to pick up the ring that day on my lunch break and when I got there he completely took OFF the satin finish the week before my wedding! I was so upset that I started crying right there and he told me he would send it out to get fixed, free of charge and it would be ready the following Friday. My wedding is out of state and is on Saturday…I need my ring before Friday! He told me he is trying to help me out here, what else can he do? REALLY???? As I was leaving (sobbing b/c my ring was ruined) he told me the only other thing he could do to help me out is fix it AFTER THE WEDDING free of charge. He did not try to help me out even considering he did not read his e-mails, told me I was getting on his nerves and ruined my ring the week before my wedding. ) What kind of jewelry store cannot fix a ring in less than a week? I would NEVER go here and I recommend that all brides find another jeweler. This guy is a jerk and I feel bad for anyone that purchases jewelry from this store or gets anything repaired here. There are a TON of jewelry stores in Red Bank….DO NOT GO TO A.H....

Never expected a big city professionalism, expertly, quality and prompt delivery in a small town in Red Bank. Alan totally understood a young man’s nerve selecting an engagement ring for the first time. We sat in his office, he spook so calmly, asked for a budget, about what size diamond, listened like a fine comb. He patiently showed many styles of the engagemet ring settings. His girlfriend wanted a bit dainty style so we were able to find a ring resemble dainty with tiny diamond.

Alan Explained in detail the difference between diamond and lab diamond. Different cuts as well. How certain setting will enhance the brilliance of the stone. My son chose Lab diamond because that’s what his girlfriend preferred. As for me I didn’t know anything about lab diamond, now I feel so comfortable that he bought the lad diamond that I want to go and get a lab diamond as well. Criteria: Matthew needed the ring in 3 weeks so he can propose to his girlfriend when travel abroad. The ring was delivered sooner then 3 weeks(other jeweler estimated making one in 8-12 weeks)

We were all traveling abroad including my son’s girlfriend, so Alan suggested that to keep it a surprise that Alan will only be communicating with me. If I didn’t respond, he made sure I got in touch, if Matt was to call Alan and he hasn’t, Alan let me know that so that no time gets wasted!! Amazing. This was the easiest custom made jewelry I ever experienced!

Today Matthew just picked up the engagement ring AND a wedding band as Alan promised! I couldn’t share a photo because he took it with him flying out to London tomorrow

Summing up: Me being use to having items specially made in Hong Kong, I’m so use to their quick turn around. It blew my mind when Alan actually text the Cad design in less then 5 days and had the ring delivered with a wedding band as well! He kept everything with in Matthew’s budget and generously gave a tiny % off to fit in his budget. So awesome.

Trust me, the engagement and wedding band came out Gorgeous.

(I live in the area for 26 years and never had to make a custom jewelry in such a short time, imagine my panic, no way I would’ve have it made in Hong Kong, thank you Alan for making this Impossible to POSSIBLE) I owe you big...

I was in a panic because my engagement band had been custom made and now I needed to find matching wedding bands. I had visited a couple of other jewelers before A.H Fisher Diamonds and each gave me a ridiculous price for bands and told me they would have to custom make them. They said I would have to send my engagement ring out, which I did not feel safe doing at all and it would only be ready a week before my wedding. I visited A.H Fisher last and it was my godsend! Alan is by far the nicest guy in the world and soo accommodating and helpful! He told me he worked with the manufacturer who made my ring and it would be in a lot faster than the other jewelers told me. He also gave me a great price and texted me with updates about my ring through the whole process which I definitely appreciated. We went back to go size my fiance for his ring and pick it out and Alan again guided us in the right direction helping decide which was best for him and explaining all of the pros and cons of all of the different metals. I am sooo happy and thankful I walked into A.H Fisher Diamonds that day. They not only made the experience stress free (which is so great considering planning a wedding is stress in itself) but they made the process actually fun and a pleasure to do. I will be coming here for any and all jewelry I will need in my future, the selection is...
