Last night I attended a performance of Radio Golf by August Wilson at Two River Theater. Excellent production, and I freely admit to being somewhat biased since August Wilson is my favorite playwright.😊 If you can, get tickets to see it; it's worth it. A couple of bonuses: the director stepped in to perform the lead role (principal actor is ill, but recuperating), and he was fantastic as was the rest of the cast. After the show, the audience did a Q&A discussion with a few cast members (I love these, and participated in one at a different August Wilson play years ago). Afterwards, there were free refreshments in the cafe section of the lobby. Secondly, prior to the performance, there was a presentation of the Two River Theater being dedicated as a Literary Landmark in the State of New Jersey with a Congressional Proclamation being read! Congratulations on this honor! Members of the Board of Directors we're in attendance, and they were pleasant and personable. Now about the theater itself: small enough for shows that should be an intimate performance, but large enough to hold a good-sized crowd (it seats 349). That means anyone on stage won't sweat or spit on you if you have orchestra seats, but you can see and hear clearly in the mezzanine. A member of my party was in a wheelchair, and they remove seats to accommodate the wheelchair--very cool--just let them know when you are ordering your tickets. The theater staff is pleasant, professional, and very accommodating including and especially the parking attendants. Even though it takes about an hour for me to get there, I would gladly attend another...
Read moreI reasonly assured on 11/15/22 by the Marketing Director that the accomandations will be more welcoming on my next visit. "God Bless and God Speed" The Two River Theater was not accommodating for my seating needs, I traveled over 50 miles to attend the show. I immediately requested my refund, it was granted and it was returned to my account immediately. I was so upset that I couldn't enjoy the show with my guest. So I just waited outside the theater in my vehicle until the show was over. So my guest, whom was a Birthday celebrant, could possibly enjoy their special moment. My special moment and day was completely ruin. I specifically gave the ticket seller over the phone, all my essential handicap details. Yet it turned out to be very deeply disturbing, that I would not be able to see the show in comfort at all!

Read moreI purchased tickets for the musical production of Hair for my husband's birthday. This was my first time ever coming to the Two River Theater abd we absolutely love it! What a fantastic local theater to take in a show. We arrived early enough to take advantage of the parking and a pre show beverage and snack! Staff was very friendly. We chose third row aisles seats on the left and we're blown away by being so close to the stage and the actors.
What a super talented bunch for this production! Their acting was incredible as well as their singing.
We enjoyed our experience so much that we've already booked tickets to see actor Bill Irwin in December and I'm looking forward to getting tickets for Scarlet Letter in the Winter!
Truly a great place to take in a show! Great job to everyone involved in Tow...
