Just walked in not even 10 minutes before closing. We walked in and realized it was high end; they don’t have much to look at anyway. There was a corner with a really nice painting and my boyfriend decided to take a picture of me. The guy greeted us and he was nice at first but once he realized my boyfriend was taking a picture he told us “if we’re not going to shop if we could leave because he’s busy”. Which is fine if he chose the words better but he didn’t. I told him that if he was busy he should have the closed sign on the door even though it was 4:50. There was still 10 minutes for us to look. He was extremely passive aggressive, and realized that he made a fool of himself and told us he didn’t mean to be rude. Read moreMy wife, Carlynn, and I visited for the first time yesterday and enjoyed it tremendously! The art pieces, antique furniture, and all the other items were absolutely genuine, unique, and expertly described in writing. The two floors of exhibits were worth viewing multiple times. Paul and Ron were friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us. We could see their passion for their work. As an illustrator myself, I had talks with Paul about specific paintings and illustrations there. After visiting some other galleries in the area, we know that Stillwell House is the one we'd return to without any doubts. Thank you,...
Read moreI recently visited this gallery with my fiancée not knowing much about antiques or fine art. Seeing the beautiful paintings and antiques was admittedly intimidating. I was greeted warmly by Paul Gallagher who kindly showed me around and educated me on the pieces displayed. He answered all our questions and gave me so much more which made this visit worthwhile. After meeting Paul, I left learning about the fascinating history and value of these fine paintings and period furnishings. I now have a much greater appreciation for these works of art and craftsmanship. I encourage everyone stoping in Red Bank to visit this great gallery. You will not leave...
