Normally, I love this Home Depot. Normally I love posting positive experiences at places I love, and I wanted this to be the same. However my experience when it really mattered was not that great. My husband’s father passed away recently, and he wanted to get a Tool box to commemorate him because he was a mechanic when my husband was a kid. He had a specific tool box in mind. We went to pick one up, and when we went to it’s location on the map it wasn’t there. We asked...not one, not two, but Seven different people where to find it. It was “You could try where the tools boxes are” ...ya think? Already been there, as well as it’s location on the map. Try the side of the store. Try back here. Back there. Over there. Finally got a woman who was willing to listen and she located them...in an overhead storage, out in garden. Got it down. At this point we’re 2 hours in. My husband has stepped away for a moment while I got the tool box when they brought it down. When he came back he asked where the other part was. My husband is a disabled veteran, and can’t walk around forever. So at this point he’s over it, because we’ve now went to look for the second part in its specific location. Not there. Not with the tool boxes. He finally goes to customer service, where we are helped by Peggy. Who located the other part, not anywhere it said it was, again in an overhead. Gotta get someone to get it down. The woman who had gotten the first part down asked if there was a problem, and I told her we had t gotten the other section. She states well it has two different skus so it’s not going to come with it. I said I know that, but you could have asked. I wasn’t aware there was more than one piece. Especially since I had explained to her why that particular one was important when she asked if I was sure I wanted to wait for it. Peggy made the experience bearable, however every other employee of the 12 or so I came into contact with did not. We left nearly 3 hours after we got there and my husband was almost late to work....
Read moreWell, I went to Home Depot on the 20 Saturday and I asked a worker where the top fitting to metal posts were and he pointed in a certain directiin n pointed towards the garden outside door. I went towards the door and I asked another worker, and that was far from the least and not even the start to great beyond measure of great words I could say express about this worker who was and is the bestest worker I've ever dealt with Imy whole life. I asked this worker where the top metal posts where that goes on top of the metal posts would be and he dropped everything and said, "here I'll take u there." I said ALRIGHT. So I was scooting in the grocery chair with wheels and he was walking n he took me to go see outside in one area of the store n they weren't there so we turned around and went to the bamboo section and he said, "I'll take it to the cashier and we will also go look in another section to see about the metal tops." So we did and as we got closer to the register in was looking for my credit card but left with failing all the guys time to me cause it was wasted cause I couldn't find my credit card I just used at the store for groceries. I couldn't find my card as of yet so I left without letting th cashier or the nicest worker ever who graciously gave me so much of his valuable time. (Yes he gets paid to do his job but most workers point or take u there n say the product is right here n walk off or might say um I think isle whatever number but nobody says here I'll take u there does carries product for you takes u to the next thing, carries it for you n then takes a person to another ace to look then takes it to self checkout. This worker was polite, pleasant, helpful, mature, and and and I could go on so let's just say he was everything good and absolutely nothing bad. The first worker i asked for help needs his wage to go down and the guy who helped me needs a...
Read moreWorst experience with big order. I bought 4k worth of lumber to have it cut and delivered. Girl at desk told me it would be delivered by that Friday. Since they don't have window frame of when it would be delivered, I took the whole day off from work. I waited the whole day, nothing. So I called she said my stuff wasn't on the truck. That's why they didn't deliver that day. She also rescheduled me for the next following week on Tuesday. She told me to call Early in the Morning to make sure my stuff was on the truck. So I called early in the morning a girl picked up the phone and said if my stuff is on the list then it is on the truck I told her if it was possible to to go physically check to make sure if my stuff was on the truck, she got mad at me and repeated if it is on the list it is on the truck. So I said okay. I also took the whole day off for this day. Waited again the whole day nothing came by no deliveries so I called again they said that my stuff was not on the truck yet again. They rescheduled me again for Friday delivery I once again took the day off for work. Come Friday no delivery yet again. So at this point I'm starting to get too mad I call one of the higher position people about their delivery and she told me she will have my lumber cut and she will make sure it comes the following Monday. And I think wait what, my number hasn't been cut yet all this time. I was getting a little annoyed so I yet took off work Monday finally the delivery truck comes by he tells me he's been out in my neighborhood 3 times already but my stuff was not on his truck that's why he never delivered. After he got done unloading all my stuff I was missing a lot of lumber so I had to go pick it up personally. All full service I would never recommend buying big projects that needs to be delivered from Home Depot. Next time I would surely try...
