$2 extra for steak and it tastes unseasoned. Plus I had to buy 2 wraps and a cali melt to be full and it was all pretty mid. The fact that I just spent $35 on some mid food just for me to be full is wild.
Today was a big back dinner so I was really ready to throw down after the gym and this was my first time eating here. Service is pretty minimum, it’s a food truck and the atmosphere sucks but it’s a food truck at a gas station. You order something and you will wait about 15-20 minutes and you can either throw down on the uneven bench or eat in your car/ go home.
First item was the “steak” wrap. I mean to me it looked like and had the texture of ground beef mostly but I know it was thin cut still it was pretty mid beef and pretty unseasoned with some yellow lettuce, decent tomatoes and they sear the onions so that’s cool. Portions were meh, I should know better since it’s a wrap but very little meat.
The lamb wrap was the same just lamb and idk how this was less than the ground beef because lamb is not cheap. But this lamb one felt like way way less meat but the lamb was actually seasoned, although it was stupid dry
By this point I was still hungry and pissed off so I ordered the lamb cali melt. At first I was excited to see so much meat but this was probably the worst. How are you skimping on the cheese like this? Cheese doesn’t even cost that much it’s like they sprinkled it in like sliced truffles 😂😂😂 and it’s like some American cheese or something, borderline tastes like canned cheese like how is this a melt when there’s hardly any cheese to melt. The lamb as also stupid dry but they give you hella meat. Idk by this point I was fed up literally and figuratively.
It was alright, I was hungry and I ate it all so it’s edible and there’s way worse out there but there’s also way better so I wouldn’t seek it out and I would explore literally any...
Read moreI actually enjoy the food here (I normally get the lamb and chicken bowl). On the menu under the description of the bowls it says "...with your choice of sauce." Ok, I want Baja sauce. But these guys refuse to give it to me. I ask nicely. They say no. I tell them I'll buy it on the side. They say no. I say I have no problem paying extra. "No!". I ask why and they say "only on sandwiches!". Ok, but one of the guys there before gave me some on the side to try and it was great, but since then it must be different guys because they absolutely will not budge under any circumstances. It's literally impossible to get their Baja sauce, unless you order a sandwich. I don't want a sandwich. I want a bowl. And I want Baja sauce on the side. If it costs extra, no problem. I'll pay for it. So why do they keep refusing to give it to me? Any other food place is happy to give me whatever I want as long as I pay for it. But not here. It's really strange and disappointing. It's not like I'm asking for something ridiculous. It's sauce!
The bowls are good. The service is weird. These people have their Baja Sauce on lockdown, and unless you order a sandwich, you might as well wait for pigs to fly. It makes me not want to come here. I used to average about once every 1-2 weeks. Now, it's maybe every 4-5 months. Boooooo!
Bowl + Baja Sauce on the side =...
Read moreCan't support this business. First off the prices for a Gryo on there website menu said it was $7.99. When I got to there food truck to order one, after driving 18 miles, it was listed for $10.99. So guilty of false advertising. When I received the very small Gryo, probably a 1/4th to 1/3 percent of there local competitors, it was unlike any Gryo I have ever tasted. It was cubed lamb in a sauce not familiar with and it had sautéed onions and green peppers. Not what I want for a Gryo and definitely not worth $10.99. I stopped at another place to eat on my way home due to the still being hungry. How many times have you bought a Gryo and been hungry after eating? The answer is none for me. This place is a rip off run by...
