I had a very bad experience with their repairman. Took my Embroidery machine in to be fixed. Got it back and still was messed up. Took it in again. Got it back and charged full price again. I was told I was not going to be charged but was and paid. Well I had surgery and did not try machine right away any my word was no good. Well had surgery twice after I got machine back. Well tried it and the embroidery arm did not work. Well after investigating and looking over machine the front of machine was not snapped in place. I was able to get it. Then I looked at my embroidery foot he put it in wrong and the spring was stretched out and the arm on the embroidery foot was outside of the metal bar, and was to be on top. I Tried to put it on the right way but arm will not stay on top of bar. Well , i need a new repair man. Please be careful with your repairs. I love the owner, but the repair man has me upset. The embroidery unit will not start when this is wrong and the embroidery foot is crooked. A safety on the machine .I just wanted to make some gifts. I seldom give reviews or express my opinion about places but, I wanted to send a word of support for this shop. I can totally understand people may have negative experiences. Some however, seem petty and overly critical, most by choice. I am relatively new to the quilting world and appreciate any and all recommendations and guidance with fabrics, threads and supplies. The people at this shop were friendly and helpful with all questions. When in the area I will not hesitate to stop in, if nothing more than, to just say hi and see what may be new. Wow, shocking visit. This store has apparently been hit hard by Covid. Inventory is really depleted - "vintage" is about all that remains...nothing new-patterns, fabric or notions. Am guessing/hoping the Madison location is doing better?? Everything we asked about, the staff person's reply was "no, covid has been bad..." so sad. This has always been an iconic quilting store!!!
