I have had nothing but bad experiences at the reedsport DG . My wife and I bought my son a Mr pottato head toy and it kept falling apart so we tried to return it like a week later. We couldn't find our recipt but we had the box and all the contents Wich should have let us atleast get store credit. They said no . They say no Wich is exceptibal but the way they say it is horrible. The manager makes u feel like ur comiting a crime by returning a defective product. She and they do this every single time over the years if I have a return. I hate the reedsport location it is awfule. On top of that I allways hear the employees complaining and whining about working and or if they have to work. One time I herd a lady say she hated working ther to a customer and she complained about haveing to put things back on the shelf that people didn't buy or returned or just put in the wrong place. I do not think anyone should shop ther. Now that being said , the lakeside dg is awsome , go there instead for a good experience. I drive from reedsport to lakeside just to avoid going to reedsport DG . Anyway I hope this helps future customers find a good shopping experience as you should not have to deal with this stuff when there is professional store...
Read moreAlthough prices are decent and the store is good-sized; they're always, or appear to be, incredibly short-staffed. Most of the shelves are disorganized--2 different-sized shoes attached by store "clips", in a mishmash of footwear that'd fit everyone in the family and some areas as if they haven't fully recovered from Black Friday! Rarely is there more than one clerk behind the counter; and at times, there's nobody, so I've had to stand, usually behind other shoppers, in a line, that, if we're fortunate, won't be too long of a wait. Twice (out of all my shopping trips to this place) I have seen an employee actually elsewhere in the store. "DG" is a big enough corporation; they can temporarily transfer in enough employees, to handle the problem, until the General manager can get people...
Read moreI tend to shop in evenings, when it is less crowded, unless I'm nearby, and I have to say that in the 5 years I've been here, many of the cashiers and the store manager / regional manager ? were so kind and helpful to me. I'm sorry I can't name all of you by name but I remember Quillie, Heather, Karen/ Kathy ? , Garrett is awesome too. The others, I know your faces, but sorry I'm not leaving you out on purpose. There's a few men who work here that are great, too. It's so sad what COVID has done to business and the stocking can be sporatic, but the staff has always been helpful and kind to me here. I feel they are because it's a smaller town, like they were at Dollar General in Port...
