I don’t even know where to begin with this unorganized pet medical staff. From the doctors, to management, to the frontline staff. I brought in my 7week new puppy to their offices. They kindly greeted me and the my pup, while waiting for the his very first appointment I noticed that some of the doctors had come from one of the greatest vet schools in the country. So it gave INCREDIBLE confidence that I would not experience a horrible vet. I was fooled. My pup had round worm and dr Cassie explained that I pay for the poop to be tested before and after the pills are given. After the second appointment, I paid for the testing. Unaware that the second test is completely separate until I go in for the follow up appointment. But on top of getting what were my pups results back, the results were mixed up. That completely makes me mad! I call- and get from doctor Cassie that “they were super busy and my staff had some confusion on the results” I’m horrified and panicking. This is the point of when I find out I have to pay. It’s the collective surprise one after another. I said I thought I paid right after the first appointment. Mind you, someone could have said this is separate. Puppies are expensive, I like to know everything up front as for cost. No surprises. After being transferred by doctor Cassie to the staff to pay, they left me one hold for over 10mins! I hang up and call back. This is insane. Now, I’m just trying to pay. Hard task. Call back, keep getting put on hold, keep calling back, this over a span of 2 hrs. Finally call get one gal, turns out to be one of the office managers, she tells me all the lines are busy and I just said I’m trying to pay for the test. She takes my card number. I receive a phone call ten mins later, saying that they are ready for my payment. I freaked out again. I freak out again, and say what are you talking about? I just gave it to one of your staff members. Well this this now the other office manager that I’m speaking too. Amy, tells me that none of the staff has it, and makes me feel like I didn’t give my card number and also tells me if a staff member does take a Cc over the phone they do it with a second person on the line. Turns out, the first manager had gone out to lunch, with out informing anyone that she had received my cc and the second manager Amy is rude, making it feel like it’s my fault for all this mix up! Very snarky in the apology and offers to make copies of my pups files for me to go somewhere else.
Treating testing like its just another test. Loosing all sense of customer service. When you go to this office you will be just a number. They don’t care for the well being of your pets samples, or the well being of their customers. Sadly, they would have better customer service if everything wasn’t such a surprise. A great office works together, informs their staff, and customers of all of the information. I went off the google reviews, and...
Read moreI've been in here 3 times in the last 9 months, and each time was less than impressed. The first time I went in to get a stray cat scanned for a microchip, but then had to wait an hour in the waiting room for them to contact the humane society for me because no one would give me any info, and in that hour of watching their interactions with clients, decided I would never go back because it felt like they were more about money than the well being of pets or the owners. The second time a rescue group sent me there with a foster kitten and the vet seemed ok and caring but my kitten ended up getting pneumonia two days later and after a visit to the er vet, the only humane option was euthanasia, so I'm not sure if the vet was incompetent or if something else was going on and she just missed it or if it was bad luck. The 3rd and last time was after I rescued a cat off the street and was looking for a forward-thinking vet to help treat this fiv/felv cat. People wanted to make donations so when I called to make an appointment I asked to set up an account. They told me I'd have to print forms online and either fax them or take them in in person. And then in order to get my records from the previous vet who had done testing I'd have to call them myself and have them faxed over, I've never had to do either of those things in the well over 15 different vets I've taken animals to. They've always been able to set up my account over the phone and they've always called my last vet for me and requested the records. That all irritated me because I felt that their policies made me have to work to become a client there, but the final straw was when they refused to give me any kind of quote or even any range on how much a dental would cost on the cat. I've never had that happen either. THe vet has always given me a base costs and then an estimate of how much each tooth pulled would cost and then listed extra things that could increase cost like bloodwork and pain meds, biopsies etc. But they wouldn't give me anything. I refuse to pay $55 to get a quote on a dental just to find out they will charge me $600 just for a regular dental that would cost me half anywhere else. I just felt very disappointed in their policies and the way you have to work and spend money just to get in the door at their clinic. Their vets are not worth it with all the other choices out there in Reno. Sure enough the next vet I called that was recommended gave me quotes and set up my account over the phone and took donations. I will never return to this clinic. Very poor...
Read moreThe phone number on Google numerous times would not go through it would just do the busy tone. We wanted update and a ETA when to pick up our animal..
When we came in to pick up our animal I asked to speak with the vet due to having a few questions that she didn’t state over leaving a voicemail. She as in the veterinarian interrupted myself and my husband every single time we spoke. I had questions such as; what to do for treatment at home.., how long should we wait if this continues to happen should we call, the treatment I was doing at home should I continue (I stated what I was doing she didn’t even hear me correctly kept saying some other medicine in which I was not doing was bad for her skin..), what to do if it gets worse, & will I be contacted with the stool sample results?… She wouldn’t make eye contact with either of us she looked at the floor when she spoke.. then at the end of her speaking she said “you guys look angry”. My husband just told her we were exhausted. But in fact we are quite angry. Being in healthcare myself as a nurse, I know not to ask people about their expressions on their face.. I know to listen to peoples concerns and the full questions they have without interruption. She is the only veterinarian in Reno/Fallon/Fernley who will care for chickens and I frankly don’t think we will be back. She was the worst person to talk to when worried about my animal.. she didn’t answer all my questions anyway.. she repeated herself over and over same things instead of listen to our concerns for our animal. People often don’t bring their healthy pets to the vet.. for her to give us this experience when we are already so worried was terrible.
The bill was $180 dollars for the vet to wash my chickens vent with water… and take a stool sample.. that’s quite insane considering I was already doing this at home and she even said “the stool sample probably won’t tell us anything..”
Do not recommend going here for chicken care. Dr. Google can tell you more for less $...
