A Flavorful Fiesta at Squeeze in Reno, Nevada!
Prepare yourself for a culinary adventure like no other! Our recent visit to Squeeze in Reno, Nevada, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a remarkable dining experience.
Our family of four couldn't wait to dive into Squeeze's mouthwatering menu. The attentive and friendly staff immediately made us feel right at home, providing recommendations and catering to our every need. It was evident that they genuinely cared about delivering a memorable dining experience.
Let's talk about the star dishes that delighted our taste buds and left us craving more. Our son, the bacon aficionado, ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was a true carnivorous delight. Juicy, perfectly cooked beef patties, topped with crispy bacon and melted cheese, nestled between soft, toasted buns. Each bite was a flavor explosion, satisfying his burger cravings to the fullest.
Meanwhile, our daughter opted for the Kids Quesadillas with a side of fresh fruit. The quesadillas were a cheesy masterpiece, oozing with flavor and complemented by the tender tortilla. The side of fresh fruit added a refreshing touch, making it a well-balanced and satisfying meal for our young one.
My wife chose the Hangover Helper as a scramble, and it was a breakfast revelation. The combination of fluffy scrambled eggs, savory sausage, peppers, onions, and cheese was pure comfort on a plate. The generous portion kept her energized and ready to tackle the day's adventures.
As for me, I couldn't resist trying the "Let's Taco bout it" scramble with the tantalizing cheese sauce and country potatoes. Oh boy, was I in for a treat! The scramble was a fiesta of flavors, with seasoned taco meat, onions, peppers, and cheese blending harmoniously. The cheese sauce added an extra layer of creaminess, and the country potatoes provided the perfect balance of texture. It was a breakfast masterpiece that left me completely satisfied.
Now, I must admit, I'm filled with regret that I missed out on the famed lemonade mimosas. They sound like the perfect way to enhance the Squeeze experience. I'll definitely be back to indulge in their refreshing and creative libations.
In conclusion, Squeeze is a culinary gem in Reno, Nevada, that should not be missed. The exceptional food, coupled with the warm and attentive service, create an experience that will leave you wanting more. Whether you're craving a classic bacon cheeseburger, flavorful scrambles, or exciting options for the little ones, Squeeze has something to satisfy every palate. Don't make the same mistake I did—make sure to try their lemonade mimosas for a refreshing twist. Squeeze, you have won our hearts and taste buds, and we can't wait to visit again...
Read moreI love Squeeze In! This was second visit to the Las Brisas location in NW Reno. I have also been to the Sparks location. If you weren't aware of it, they are a chain, but I haven't been to any other locations. I also haven't ordered anything besides breakfast.
I was by myself so I was seated quickly even though it was 10 AM on a Sunday morning. It will likely take you more time to be seated if you are with a larger group.
My server, Tre, was quick to greet me and ask what I would like to drink. Once I had my drink, it wasn't long before Tre took my breakfast order. I am a big fan of Mexican style breakfasts, so I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo as my protein choice and hash browns on the side. It comes with a generous amount of avocado as well as cheese. A small paper cup of Pico de Gallo and one of sour cream accompany the burrito. Ketchup was available along with Cholula hot sauce to spice up the ketchup.
If you've had chorizo before in a restaurant, you know that you are taking a bit of a chance in ordering anything with chorizo, as chorizo can vary widely in quality. Some chorizo is very greasy and/or is poorly spiced. The chorizo used here is of good quality with a nice zing to it. I like my Mexican food a little on the spicy side, but I don't think the chorizo used by Squeeze In is too spicy: I'd call it Goldilocks quality, exactly right.
Everyone likes their hash browns a certain way and though I made no special request, they came more or less the way I like them: browned crunchy exterior with a soft cooked interior. Since I love Mexican breakfast, I would love it if they offered either pinto or refried beans on the side as a choice, but these were good hash browns.
The coffee was adequate but not astounding and my orange juice was good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is early anarchist (there is graffiti on the restaurant and bathroom walls) but it gives the place a kind of laid back vibe. Tre added to that by being a very relaxed guy, who made me feel right at home.
I live in Montana but I am always on the lookout for quality breakfast places. I have patronized a Squeeze In three times now, despite living in Montana, and I will definitely return should I return to the Reno/Sparks area or any other place where there is a Squeeze In location. The Sunday breakfast crowd shows that I am not alone in feeling this way. If you've never been, I highly recommend that you...
Read moreSqueeze In the ATTITUDE!!!!! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with an attitude from the woman up front. Then she made us wait outside while she got our table ready. It proceeded to get worse as the experience continued. No welcome or friendly disposition as the same woman approached the table asking for drink orders. Two of us ordered coffee and my daughter said she was just going to have water. She shot her a dirty look and said it’s on the table!!!! There were 8 of us and she was already started walking away angry. We continued to order the rest of our drinks. She got to one person in our group that ordered the tajin mimosa. She told him it cost more than the others, insinuating that he couldn’t afford it. Not sure if it was because he is Hispanic, but completely came across as racist!! She didn’t let anyone else know how much their drink cost. When she left to grab our drinks, we could hear her talking poorly about us in the side station. When she returned to our table, she slammed our (old) coffee down in front of us and passed out the diluted juice and mimosa. She left again for an extended period of time and came back asking if we were FINALLY ready to order. We responded with, “yep, just waiting on you” in a friendly, jokingly manner. She confrontationally raised her voice and aggressively asked WHAT DID YOU SAY?! We overlooked her response and began ordering. My daughter started her order when she was rudely interrupted by the server. She asked a question about how she wanted her eggs and my daughter stated she was just saying that. She yelled at the table that she’s going to have prompts for every order so we need to wait for her after everything!!! We decided to leave shortly after because we weren’t about to pay to be unwanted and treated like trash. From the moment we arrived she made it perfectly clear that we were NOT welcome. Her shortness, attitude and whole demeanor said it all. I do not suggest going to this location if you are of a different race or have a larger family/party. DO NOT eat here if you are looking to enjoy a nice breakfast/brunch with friends or family. You’d be making a...
