Beach Hut Deli (NW Reno) — Restaurant in Reno

First time coming here, and honestly we won't be back. We came to try this place because it had pretty good reviews, but our experience wasn't to rave about. We were getting four sandwiches, and were pleased that there weren't really any customers in the place so it should go pretty quickly to get our food. However, the service was mediocre, and it took about 20 minutes to get our sandwiches out to us. (there were 4 employees working, 3 working on our sandwiches). The drink machine was out of just about half of there drinks and it took to the time we were leaving to get someone to refill it. We were going to get a soup as well, but they were out (understandable being a sunday). When we finally got our sandwiches and got home to eat them, my sandwich had a long hair in it. None of the workers were wearing hairnets, so it would be easy to get a hair in the food. The food was too overpriced in my opinion to be getting such a mediocre experience.

First off my sandwich, North South, was beyond a soggy mess. Even after having the bread toasted, thank God I did have it toasted, the bread still just fell apart. It was almost unedible without a fork. Too much liquid on the sandwich and not I did t ask for extra any dressings. The other sandwich had SOMETHING hard inside of it about the size of a large pea. Never could figure out what that was. The sandwich was a Righterous Reuben. The flavors were good and the pricing on point for the industry. Didn't seem to warrant such rave reviews though. There are other sandwich places in town that we have eaten that have a consistently good sandwhich with no quality or sandwich...

The food was amazing. It was great portions and I would recommend the food to any one. But the service was what will prevent me from returning. The girls that work there are highly unprofessional in their flip flops instead of appropriate closed toe shoes. I understand casual and the beach theme, but you are not supposed to look like you should be on campus picking up guys. Longer shorts never hurt anyone, and pulling your hair up when making food would help, half pulled up is not sanitary. I was also very upset to see one of the girls eating while making my sandwich. I will not be returning until I know that the cleanliness of the employees' look is brought up to being...
