This was the worst experience that I have had at a restaurant in a long, long time. First they had no A.C., ever time the door opened it cooled us off a bit even though it was in the high 90s outside. We ordered drinks and just by looking around the place I told my friends we should leave right away. It was hot, the waitresses were dripping sweat, the place just opened but was dirty. The waitress came back with our drinks and we decided to give it a shot, I wish we had left. We ordered a cheese dip appetizer, we had to ask for silverware and napkins and were not given any appetizer plates. The dip was solid cheese, not a sauce, every chip broke trying to get some cheese. We ordered our food, while we waited for our food, 4 different people walked in and ordered to go food and left before we received our food. We had to ask for refills, our waitress helped people who were her friends or relatives out to their car, while we needed refills and were still waiting for our food. There were only 10 tables and 4 servers. You could see the kitchen and a sink/hand wash station. The whole time we were there (two hours) I only saw one person wash their hands. When our food finally came it was cold. My parents had enchiladas, they looked like taquitos, no sauce or cheese on top. They were cold, beans and rice on every plate cold. I got the carne asada plate, my meat was puddled with grease and had no seasoning whatsoever. Gross. My husband never got his carnitas plate. When my Mom asked if her food could be heated, I put my foot down. I told the waitress that we were leaving and we did. It's such a bummer, we live just a few blocks away and love Mexican food. I usually will give another chance, but not with this place. Too many bad things going on...
Read moreWe are SO grateful we found Cielito Lindo for our wedding weekend catering. From start to finish, Eddie was an absolute joy to work with... communicative, flexible, and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. We take our Mexican food seriously (my husband’s family is from Guadalajara), so before booking we wanted to taste everything. Eddie invited us to the taqueria for a tasting, and wow… every single bite was incredible. We originally planned to serve just two meats at our welcome buffet, but everything was so delicious we couldn’t narrow it down — we ended up offering four!
Throughout the planning process, Eddie let us fully customize our menus, and his team executed everything perfectly. At our welcome dinner, they arrived on time, were so professional and kind, and the food was an absolute hit. Guests RAVED about it, so much so that many went back for seconds and thirds. The batched margaritas and palomas they made were equally amazing: fresh, flavorful, and such a fun addition.
For our farewell brunch the day after the wedding, we wanted something casual and easy for guests to grab before heading out. Eddie delivered breakfast burritos that we also got to customize, nearly a dozen different varieties! They were hot, fresh, tasty, and such a huge crowd-pleaser that guests were grabbing extras to take on the road.
Cielito Lindo truly went above and beyond for us, and the quality of the food and service was exceptional. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food with amazing service for your event, look no further. Eddie and his team...
Read moreI ordered compadre tacos and menudo over the phone and was told it would be a 45-55 minute wait. I showed up early thinking that was best, but you SHOULD NOT SHOW UP EARLY! Their estimated times are lengthy because they’re popular and have other orders to do before yours. I’d give an extra 10-15 minutes before picking up my order next time. They were very busy and the phone lines were ringing the whole time I was there.
The front of the restaurant is impressive because they function so effectively. I’m also happy to know that they answer the phone lines right away and continually work down the long lines they have inside the dinning area.
The kitchen area is absolutely amazing! Literally the best birria tacos I’ve ever had, so flavorful and full. I ordered 8 tacos for my boyfriend and I, but I could only eat 3 comfortably because they are so full of meat and toppings. Definitely worth the price. The menudo is very good too, they packed the container with it and my goodness it was very tasty. Don’t forget to use up all the salsa they include. It has a good kick to it.
This is the best menudo and birria tacos I’ve had in town. Go get...
