My friend and I went to Sushi 7 on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm. The restaurant was lively but not overly crowded. We were seated right away. The decor was modern and clean with an Asian flair.

The service was excellent - very fast, attentive and polite. Our server went above and beyond, even teaching my friend how to use training chopsticks. The pop music playing was mellow and unobtrusive.

Our drinks arrived in just two minutes. They brought us free hot sake, which tasted quite traditional.

We started with an order of steamed muscles. They were perfectly cooked - not chewy or slimy. An order of four was a good size.

The specialty rolls we tried were very tasty. The 7 Alarm Roll was served hot and had a nice spicy kick. The Man on Fire Roll was also pleasantly spicy but more mild. The Spicy Tuna Roll featured high quality tuna and the right temperature.

The Mickey Mouse Tuna and Donald Duck Salmon played on the Disney names with subtle sweet teriyaki and more robust salmon flavors respectively. Both were good.

The Sparks Roll had a subtle sweetness that we enjoyed. The Okie Dokie Roll contrasted flavors and textures nicely with a hint of lemon.

Overall, Sushi 7 offered a comfortable setting, quality fish, excellent cuts and temperatures, and attentive service. Considering the high quality food and drink, the prices were very reasonable. It ranks among the best sushi experiences I've had in Reno and I wouldn't hesitate to...

Arrived on Sunday 3/4/18 @ 6:30ish and we sat at the bar right in front of our Sushi artist. It was busy but not crazy and they had only 2 sushi makers. We ordered our drinks and waited patiently to receive our wasabi and ginger plate. when we asked for our plate the sushi maker made us feel like we were an inconvenience and handed over our setting. What we got was a tasting spoon of wasabi and 3 pieces of ginger!! I ordered a "man on fire" and the wife ordered a "spider" and it went downhill from there. I waited for 20 mins. for my order!! my wife had received her "spider" and ordered a Sushi 7 which took 15 mins. NOT ONCE did our sushi maker even acknowledged or look us in the eye and even said a word to us!! We requested the manager/owner and a waitress quipped how busy they were! Which I replied waiting 20 mins. for an order while sitting in front of our Sushi maker and he cant even acknowledge us or let us know that our order will be made soon is ridiculous!! And we didn't even get refills on our drink!! We were so close on walking out of this place. We finished our meal and NO ONE offered an apology a discount for our meal NOTHING it was like they could care less about their customers and we were hearing people not sitting at the bar not getting their sushi or receiving the wrong items . Hate leaving a negative review but our experience was not very pleasant. Hopefully you will have a...

So this place ok but honestly there are so many in Reno and Sparks that are way better in every aspect! The service was good but became a little unusual in my opinion. I believe it was due to the constant coming to the table and saying that she charges for not finishing the food. Only 1 of my 4 rolls was better than I expected and 1 was forgotten and delivered late. She ended up in the end saying the people I was with who ordered a la carte didn't get charged for the icecream when she said they couldn't have mine, which was all you can eat, so that was very nice! The fact that there was more than a lot of supplies and placed all around the outside of the kitchen I really didn't like! All kinds or items including perishable were stacked all over the outside and you could clearly see that it was a constant storage method. I honestly believe she knew how her restaurant was being run in which she tried covering for by constantly talking about the people who "abuse all you can eat" and the over waiting on us for me was very annoying but she discounted items for the others on the table which was appreciated. This may not make a lot of sense, but I always say try places you've never experienced and give your...

Giving 2 instead of 1 just because the servers were amazing. The food though deserved 1/5, please go check out how generous and positive I am in my reviews and for me to give such rating would say a lot. This is so far the worst Sushi place I've been to in Reno. I've been to 3 other and they were all miles better than this. First of all the mussels were very cold and almost unchewable and they were served outside the shell as if it was from a frozen mussels. All sushi rolls were very cold as if they were made hours before and kept cool for customers. And the quality and ingredients were uninspired and abysmal. The rice portion of the sushi was more than all other sushi places that I've been to and it was very very expensive too! 32$ for Dinner! Talk about false confidence. I am writing this review to help other people not waste their cherished limited Family time and money and spend it in another Suhsi place unless (and I hope they take this to their heart) unless the owners wake up and increase the quality and ingredients to make better more exciting rolls. My Wife and I tried 7 Sushi rolls, 2 hand rolls and 2 nigiris and appetizers and they were all from subpar to down-right bad.

MEH. Also got upset stomach. All three of us. Read the mixed reviews on Google and decided to check it out as my whole family likes sushi. We must admit we felt let down. Service was fast. There was only one server and she was nice but had to run around to manage all the 6-7 tables that was full during lunch. Mussells were cold and not in shell. ALL the sushi were rice and more rice :( We had the AYCE. Lunch $26 and dinner $32. As we were new to that location we asked the server to assist us in choosing. She did. We tried at least 12 types of sushi there. Nothing stood out for us. We did not realize miso soup could be not appealing! Overall, not our cup of tea. Felt really let down. Perhaps someone else will like it. I have added several pics along with their menu.
