Savage and Son, Inc. — Local services in Reno

I’ve never had business with this company and with the experience I’ve had I don’t think I would ever seek them out or recommend them. Today 8/2/22, when heading home from work, I used the freeway on-ramp by western village. As my lane was merging into the freeway one of their company vehicles (#79, lic plate ending in N35) started to speed up and try to cut me off, when there was absolutely no reason for them to do so. They were a good distance behind me when my lane was beginning to merge into the freeway. I called the number displayed on the side of the van and a lady answered she asked if there was anyone I could direct my call to and I said I wasn’t sure since I had a complaint for one of their drivers. The lady put me on hold and then shortly after the call was disconnected from their end. I tried multiple times to call them back and from another phone and each time got a dial tone as if they had disconnected the phone. I’m very dissatisfied with how they handed this situation especially considering it involved one of their vehicles being driven dangerously and recklessly...

On 6/8/25 I called Savage and Son with a plugged sewer problem and got an appointment for 6/9/25 between 2:00-4:00. On 6/9/25 at 12:30 I got a call from an employee from Savage and Son to let me know that he was on his way to my house. After he arrived at my house he tried diligently to unplug the sewer line using different accesses and sizes of snakes but to no avail. In the end his equipment broke and he had to leave my house with the job undone. I called the office to ask them what could be done now? The women that I spoke with asked if she could call me back. She called me back in about 15 min. and said she had another employee on his way from Incline. He arrived at the house about 4:00,I asked if he knew what what’s had done and he said that he had spoken to the previous employee and the office and that he was confident that he could fix the problem. He worked for about 2 hours and got my sewer unplugged! Making an appointment with Savage and Sons was the best decision I have ever made! It started on the phone with how genuine and nice Kathleen was. The way she was so caring and really took the time to understand me, especially since I had a hard time explaining what was wrong with my plumbing. So few people would have taken the time to listen. I very much appreciate her for that. Next, Bryan came out to my house to fix my shower tub diverter and look at the water pressure. Bryan is an amazing and kind plumber. He took the time to explain fully what was going on and how everything worked. He also was so honest and real with what was needed and not needed. He is such a genuine guy and fixed the plumbing issue with no trouble. I cannot emphasize enough how happy I am with the all around service of Bryan, Kathleen, and Savage and Sons. I highly highly recommend Savage and Son for anything home plumbing you need. I am beyond impressed. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and going back for some future plumbing needs.
