Look, I never want to say anything bad about a small local owned business, as we should be supporting them all we can. For a small Dive Bar the food is really good. Chicken sandwich and the Cajun sauce makes it one of the better sandwiches I've had. Small, dark and clean. Service is marginal at best. They cook spent more time with us than the bartender/waitress. I do not like eating around smokers and this bar if you are in the dining area the smoke travels the distance of 8 feet to your table. If smoke doesn't bother you then this will not be an issue. Best sports bar in Reno NV. My best friend turned me on to this sports bar and I fell in love with the real, down to earth attitude. If you think you are a sports fan, then look no further than JOX. The owner(Danny Guyer) or his dad, Jack Guyer should be known to any and all. The Guyer family put a life time into the sports field. JOX, did not buy knock off items to display on the walls. Definitely a locals bar. Which I found odd being so close to the Atlantis. The bartenders seem to be dest friends with the locals and anyone else is almost an inconvenience. Although you couldn't see smoke, everything smelled strongly of cigarettes. The food was good although the menu is small.
