We had a party of 6 people which most places now charge an 18% gratuity on these days including Tacos Jalisco. With that said, the food was ok but the service was certainly lacking. I personally felt that since the waitress was already guaranteed an 18% "tip", she didn't feel need to occasionally check on our table. She placed the order, brought drinks (by the way, they charge for refills on fountain drinks) and didn't return until our food was ready. Didn't come back for another 20 minutes. By then my daughter had finished the 2 tacos that cost $12 and decided she was still hungry so we had to order her another 2 tacos, because they only come in sets of 2. Finally we were done, we requested a To-go container, that took another 5-10 minutes to get then got outr check. A total of $180 for a family of 6, two of which were children and 3/6 ordered tacos. We had been there in the past as a party of four, the place was busy and we had way better service. This time there were 3 other tables at most but again, I feel that 18% gratuity just gave the waitress the confidence to poorly do her job. Needless to say, we...
Read moreWe ordered carne asada nachos (pic included) and street tacos. (Sorry I was hungry and forgot to get a pic.) The portions were very generous for the money.
The street taco flavors we tried were:
Carne asada Al pastor Carnitas
The flavor of the carnitas and the carne asada were both equally amazing. I personally did not care for the al pastor as the sauce tasted like it had a really strong mole base, and mole is just not my favorite flavor. But if that flavor is not a problem for you you will probably love that taco.
All of the staff was very friendly and took excellent care of us.
The only thing that was a little bit annoying - was that the salsa that was served with the chips when you first sit down was way too hot for my friend to handle. It was almost too hot for me to handle which surprised me because I do very well with spicy salsas.
When we asked if we could get something less spicy like maybe a pico, we were told we could but that it would cost extra.
We decided not to go with that option. Again not a deal-breaker just kind of...
