I went to the establishment yesterday to place a to - go order, in person. I didn’t mind waiting 30 minutes for my food.
However, due to the very nasty, rude, and unprofessional behavior and attitude of the lady worker at the podium, I walked out, and spent my money elsewhere.
Upon entry, there are 2 registers to the left. A customer and 1 cashier were there. Directly in the center, upon entry, is a podium. Another lady was there, holding a phone to her ear. I was looking around to see where to place my order, since there wasn’t another worker to take my order.
I looked over to the lady at the podium, and she held her arm out and “directed” me to go to her right, (the registers), as if this was her 10th time telling me to go over there. The Energy and attitude were bad. Awful. Unprofessional.
She then asks if it’s a pickup or to go. I said to go, and I had to place my order. She rolled her eyes, huffed heavily, hung up her phone, disgustedly walked to the other register, and asked what I wanted. The attitude was as if I was inconveniencing her, and she didn’t want to take the order but “had” to.
I’m a very understanding person and “hold space” for people having bad days, etc. However, a bad day doesn’t mean treat people in a disrespectful, rude way.
Her attitude and behavior was so contemptuous that I asked, “you good?” She literally said “yessssss!” as she was sliding a card on the register.
Because the response was so unprofessional and I wanted to see if my food would potentially be tampered with, I said, “you sure?”
She said, “YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!” I said, “never mind. Don’t worry about it,” and walked out. Whenever a food service worker has THIS type of Energy and attitude, your food is NOT safe. Expect stomach and food problems. It’s not worth the risk of eating and becoming sick.
Not only was this attitude unnecessary and unprofessional, it’s not a way to gain or keep any customer. Some businesses don’t care; it’s their right. However, none of the businesses I support EXPECTS or tolerate their workers treating customers that way, or costing them business, or repeat business.
I understand family businesses have more lenient standards when it comes to providing Service, so certain behaviors may be tolerated and excused. However, that’s NO way to treat anyone, let alone people who CHOOSE to support your business.
I’ve been a customer here for over 3 years, and used to visit them weekly and monthly, and order the chicken teriyaki hibachi “meal.” (It’s like $30+). I’d drive 45 minutes - 1 hour for the food.
Anyway, I stopped going every week, and month, due to the poor customer service. Also, and habitually, they’d charge me for the teriyaki sauce, but never give it to me. The chicken doesn’t taste good without it.
To avoid my food being tampered with on my next visit, I just stopped going. I hadn’t been in at least 4 - 6 months, maybe more.
The attitude and behavior were...
Read moreUnfortunately this restaurant service is no longer top tier. The food doesn’t taste the same. It taste like cheaper ingredients are being used. The waitress that was assisting us has a smart mouth. we unfortunately we had an emergency and I simply ask for the check and she kept talking over me, rolling her eyes. “Um excuse me I said emergency” didn’t yell I didn’t get up and walk out I just ask for some help!! In paying faster. We had already the desert bc of the emergency. She was very rude insensitive and smart mouth then had the nerve to say I was rushing them. She was our waitress helper she was t the one taking the orders. so someone else redirected me to the front were we could cash out and leave! If a customer approaching me and says I have an emergency I’m not gonna twist my face up like it’s not my problem or like I could care less so what! I was very discreet and low key!!! You can tell she’s use to being rude to certain customers, she seem to have a dislike for woman that look like me!! Her action shows she thinks they’ll be no consequence! Well our military dollars won’t be back and we’ve been going there for years. I will redirect anyone that ask me about that location and discourage my family and friends from eating there. The parking lot was already almost empty there notoriety is declining possibly bc of the way there being allowed to treat there customers. When did frequent that location it was always 85% African Americans in there and it seems that’s who there being rude too! Their also taking advantage of large parties and trying to get more money on top of the already inflated prices. Less food more money bad service and Now there’s 18% gratuity whether they do a good job or not! There charging for xtra sauce the rice was gummy! The water and drink were disgusting even the sugar was old and sat in the glass like hard powder sugar and wouldn’t desolve like it was extremely old. I’m just disgusted. It was Pretty sickening. On top of the service being bad. Before we even left my stomach was hurting from the grease. Again we won’t be back bc theirs so many other great restaurants we can visit. We frequent at least 4-6 restaurants a month and promote them on our social media. Trust this will never be one. Places like this always start off good get comfortable then start mistreating the majority of ppl that frequent there business. Good luck with disrespecting...
Read moreI've spent maybe a couple thousand bucks over the past few years at this establishment. I've brought people here on dates and it's become my quick getaway from my own kitchen. I've recently had a few bad experiences but overlooked them because this was my favorite restaurant. But I had a horrible experience on my last visit here which was on 4/10 that I just can't look past. I had a VERY long, frail piece of brown hair that wrapped around my glass and went through my straw. I only noticed it because as I drank from my straw I noticed something in my mouth that didn't belong there. I proceeded to show my waitress and she resplied "Ew, why is it like that, I'll go get you another one". She herself expressed disgust in her reaction. She brings me another cup of water along with the bill. I sat there, conflicted, wondering if I should talk to a manager about what I had just experienced because that incident had me scouting my food for hair as I wondered how long my drink of water had been seasoned with hair. I feel grossed out thinking about it. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager comes over, inspects the glass and I show her the hair. The hair falls because it was weighed down by water as she picks the straw out of the glass and the manager tells me she doesn't see it, that maybe the hair was wrapped around the glass, which is still gross even if that was the case. She then tells me that my waitress's hair is pulled back, which I know. She says she doesn't see any hair. I tell her ask your worker about it because I clearly showed it to her and she said she'd get me another cup of water. The manager just says sorry and that was that. The waitress comes back and I told her "You told the manager that there was no hair" and she resplied "Im sorry, I don't know how it got there, I don't know how that happened". She made me look like I was a liar to her manager which disgusted me even more than the hair that was in my mouth. I'm highly pissed that nothing was resolved. I spent $58 on my meal and didn't fully enjoy it because of this hair in my water and mouth incident and then made to look like a liar by someone who tried to save their own butt. I won't be going back to this place and I will make it a point to tell everyone I know about this incident. My dinner was ruined by a frail strand of hair and a lying waitress. Even more upset that I had to leave a mandatory gratuity after...
