Pearl Cafe — Restaurant in Richardson

I wanted to love this place, but my visit was disappointing. My partner and I came around midnight on October 1st. The cashier was on the phone the entire time we ordered, which made the service feel inattentive. Even though we ordered before another couple, our food was prepared after theirs, which was frustrating to watch.

When I got home and opened my order, I found that my red velvet waffle was completely drenched in Biscoff cream and cookie crumbs something I hadn’t ordered at all. Not only was it overwhelming, but it wasn’t what I asked for in the first place.

I had high hopes for this dessert shop, but between the service and the incorrect order, the experience fell short. With more attention to detail and better customer care, this place could really improve, but unfortunately this visit...

This place is so unique it it's offerings. Staff was very friendly and kind, letting us try different ice cream flavors and explaining them to us with enthusiasm. Ended up going home with a pint of the Gulab Jamun flavor and some smaller amounts of several others. Please give this place a chance, especially if you want to try something new. Small place but with so many good options, toppings, etc. If I lived closer this place would be a staple for me. Will be visiting again to try the Sugar Cane drink!

Ended up getting the Cucumber Mint Lemonade and the Sakura Rose (it's a milk tea). Loooove the cucumber mint lemonade. Sakura milk is tasty, my only complaint is that the boba is a little plain but the texture is still very good. Seeing as Boba is not their specialty I don't count it...

I typically don’t like giving less than five stars because I understand it’s so important for local small businesses to maintain a positive rating on google & yelp!

In this case too I’m giving five stars, however I have some feedback for the owners:

The ice cream and desserts were not up to par. The ice cream was not creamy & the chocolate cake was dry.

And serving desserts for people dining in you could make it a little more presentable.

The place could use a little TLC & cleaning.
