My sweet husband went to Pampillonia and bought a beautiful gold tag and necklace as a gift for my birthday. Because my grandfather, with whom I was very close, had passed away in March 2021, he explained that he bought the tag because this jeweler could engrave someone’s handwriting, so he thought getting it engraved with my grandpa’s signature would be special. I was speechless. As I started sifting through things, I found letters from my grandfather that reminded me that he loved to use a typewriter. I can vividly remember him pecking away at his keyboard with his two pointer fingers. These letters he sent embodied everything he was….loving, generous, proud, funny, and devoted, so I decided to pick something that would reflect the letters and capture those memories for me. I made my appointment at Pampillonia and brought my letters in to help design my piece. I was blessed to have had the appointment with Jessica. As I made my selections at the store, I felt somewhat silly and maybe too sentimental, but Jessica took her time and worked with me. She was so sweet and amazing that I wanted to hug her before I left because she showed me so much patience and kindness as I fumbled to minimize my still-present grief. She helped me decide which handwritten signature we’d use and she helped me decide to use a typewriter font to include a tiny nod to my name and a closing he used in the letters. When I picked it up a couple of weeks ago, I gasped. I couldn’t imagine that I would feel so stunned, yet I did. It was simple and so beautiful! Jessica, along with other consultants there that day, were so incredibly kind and seemed invested in it. I left and felt like I was wearing a letter from him with an opening and a closing…and with his handwriting near my heart. It is lovely…and to be honest, it is a really cool piece of jewelry. Where do I begin? Let me start by saying, I'm the kind of person that does ALOT of research before I dive into something. I knew I needed to find a wonderful jeweler/jewelry store that could turn some old pieces of jewelry that I would never wear into something that I could show off! Something that when I looked at it, I would think of my mother or my grandmother. I've been following Pampillonia on social media since 2019. They have an amazing following with wonderful reviews. I loved their style of creativity. It took me awhile to take the plunge to go see them, but when I did I swear I felt as if I knew ALL the staff "remember I said I'd been following them since 2019!" I immediately met Pamela and Tera, and we hit it off like "gang busters". Both were so sweet and friendly, its as if I already knew them! We looked at all the pieces of jewelry that I brought and I showed them some pictures of things I liked from Pinterest. With a little collaboration, alot of "oohing and ahhing" and some tears on my part because face it, they are so freaking good at what they do! Pamela and Tera came up with some amazing ideas for my pieces that are definitely show stoppers!!! Once we were finished, I took a celebratory champagne toast to my new designs and my lifelong future with Pampillonia. I'm so happy to know that I have a fabulous place to take more of my heirlooms to be re-created and enjoyed! I have also made some new a wonderful friends there who have my best interest at heart! Where is the 10-star option on this review?! I had an exceptional experience designing a custom ring at Pampillonia. My first time in I was met by Jessica who spent a ton of time with me asking about my vision for the piece and learning what was most important to me. I had never designed a custom piece before and Jessica was able to help me corral my thoughts and likes into a concept we could work with. We then scheduled some time with their awesome designer Tera who was able to take that concept and a few inspiration photos I had and create something that was artistic, beautiful, and even better than what I could have imagined. After we had a sketch of the design, I was able to see a wax model of the ring so we could make small adjustments on height, width, etc which I found really helpful as it brought the CAD design I had seen on paper to life. During that review, Tera and I got to visit with the digital designer Sarah so she could hear in my own words what adjustments and effects I was looking for. After a second wax model, the piece was off to production and I think I audibly gasped when I opened the box - absolutely stunning. I can’t thank the Pampillonia team enough for my gorgeous new ring and for the awesome in-store experiences with their whole staff. Everyone there (even people I didn’t have the chance to work with) was warm, personable, and made this experience so much fun....
