Dominican Restaurant — Restaurant in Richardson

We went today 10/30/2021 to eat in this Dominican Restaurant in Richardson Texas. We look at the reviews and the good photos on the google. So we like and we decided to go to eat there. Unfortunately when we went there they were almost anything from The menu. We drove more then 50 mins to get there and they do not have any rice and beans, no any special Dominican cuisine. The only option is in my photos. So they were no busy at all, see my photos. We were waiting around 15!mins to someone to come to ask what to order. The time we went was around 5:30 pm Saturday, they are open until 2 am. They have not cook and I heard they have birthday and we cant stay. Anyway we want only to order and go. But this is not how you can say to your customer. I do not want to write bad reviews. I know is a family business. If you want successful family restaurant business you should have at least the main cuisine from your menu. I just can believe they do not have rice and beans in Dominican Restaurant. The food tasted like home made family cooking at home. No special. I can not give them no more then one star, I see they needed a lot improvement to do if they want to continue to be in the restaurant business. Price is not that affordable. We visited Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last year and I fell in love with the food. After my return home, I craved more of this amazing food. I did a Google search and found this place. Upon 1st glance when I pulled into the parking lot I thought the place was closed because there were only 2 cars in the lot. I'm glad that we took a chance and came in anyway. Boy, was I not disappointed. Many other patrons came in during our stay. The atmosphere took me back to the DR. The music was playing, we were greeted in Español and the FOOD. Yo, the food was amazing. I was so excited when everything came to the table that I forgot to take pictures. My husband and I shared 2 empanandas, beef and chicken as appetizers. We both had passionfruit juice. I had the Sanconcho(Dominican soup) with rice. It is a staple in the DR. My hubby had the red snapper fish with arroz and frioles(rice and beans). First time here and we loved it, my boys ate all their food, never happens at any other place!!! I regret not taking pictures of our dishes, I ordered churrasco, tostones, salad, hubby ordered chimi tostones slider, my oldest son ordered salamis and tostones, my little one and the most Dominican between all of us 🤣 ordered empanadas de res (beef) and then asked for his fave arroz and habichuelas (rice and beans) he rated it 1000/1000!!!! I wish it was closer to us, our drive is one hour but it was more than worth it!!! We were welcomed as soon as we opened the door, placed in our table, server came a few minutes right after and took our order!!! So pleased we came!!
