I've been in and out of this store many times over the past three years and here's what I got to say.... It's a store, a public store with real people working there and real people going in there to shop. The prices are good for what you get, quality depends on brand, prices depend or merchant sellers, quantity depends on stock available, and how clean it is? It depends on the time of day and who's gone there throughout the day. The later it gets, the messier it will be with the amount of kids, grown adults who don't know how to clean after themselves, and people who decide to stuff unwanted things in the most random of places. I don't have complaints about the workers but I will complain about the customers. I've seen women come in, leave their kids in the toy section while they go shopping, make a mess of the kids section, and then leave. I've seen the sales workers scrambling to clean only for more kids to come seconds later and do the same thing all over again. I've come to buy a shirt and I'll see ladies dumping shirts ontop of the racks for the workers to clean. I've seen people being asked politely to take care of their running child who runs around knocking things over as I try reaching for a pair of jeans only for the mother to become entitled and yell at the workers. To be honest I feel bad for them. I have no idea how they deal with us when they have so much to clean. Basic things you need to know is this store doesn't have layaway but they'll usually refer you to a store that does. This store doesn't have men's shoes unless it's during the holidays and kids shoes are hard to come by. I do recommend the mens sweaters since these are very comfortable and warm. The jewelry section is usually really nice to explore since the selection is great. Like any store, they run out of things so when I don't find bags or treats for my puppies I usually come a week after to find them restocked. If you want to get good things always ask for the associates advice. They usually turn you to the right direction and give you opinions on things they've bought before that they recommend. They are usually willing to work with you if you're patient and respectful. I've seen grown woman throw fits at them and they will still work with them and explain things incase they don't get their way. I will say, lines can get long at noon since that's many people's lunch breaks so I recommend coming during a time where most people aren't in a rush to get back to work before lunch breaks end. Some of the hidden gems are definitely the snacks. I go in once or twice a week purely for the snacks. Also, let us not forget the about of bags they sell. I've seen some really nice Michael Kors bags selling for 60-80$. When it comes to plus size woman selection, I noticed that they'll have new items at the beginning of the week and those same items will be gone within the first two days. Came in to buy a shirt once I saw on a Monday, and by the time I went to look for it (Wednesday) they were all gone. They have a large selection of candles too that I highly recommend. Just make sure to check brand since some are better than others. I reccomend the village candles since those usually make the whole house smell nice. When it comes to electronics one of the young girls that works there recommended JBL and I was very satisfied with the purchase of the JBL Go Speaker. It was extremely convenient and worth the price. I saw it on amazon the other day being sold for almost double what it cost at TJ Maxx. Honestly it's a good store if you make your experience pleasant by being kind and not entitled. I've noticed that being rude or yelling gets you no where but being respectful and asking question can help you find hidden gems here. I also should mention you should always ask if they have recently restocked or gotten any new items in. It can save you time when looking for things you haven't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame to this location today around 4. I love shopping here and do so regularly. Never had issues with any of the staff as they are usually super friendly. Today however, I had a terrible experience with one of the cashiers which was beyond upsetting. During the holidays I purchased mostly all of my gifts from TJ max and I had a $20 bracelet and child sweat set that I wanted to return because I overbought. When I got to the cashier I greeted her and informed her I wanted to make a return. I was immediately greeted with hostility as she said āYouāre supposed to make all jewelry returns in the jewelry department.ā I understand there are rules and I am not upset at an employee letting me know, however her attitude was rude and snarky which I did not appreciate. Nowhere does it say I have to return in the jewelry department because when I bought it I checked out in the normal tj max line, therefore I did not know. Was I supposed to make 2 separate returns? Jewelry was not the only thing I was returning and even so I have returned jewelry that isnāt locked up without an issue before. As she proceeded to return my items she informed me she was only doing it because I waited in a long line. I felt gaslit the entire time and I let her know she was extremely rude. This is not the first time I have been met with hostility from this lady older Hispanic lady that works there. Her attitude screams she does not want to be there. You donāt encounter rudeness in customer service often but when you do its people like her. After my return I wanted to continue shopping but I was so upset I left. I am also not someone to get confrontational but your employee was on another level of RUDE and I hope she learns to be kinder. Itās not okay to talk down on people for absolutely no reason. Had she been a friendly person, that conversation couldāve gone way differently and Iām disappointed to have encountered such rude behavior at one of my...
