I rarely make google reviews⦠But, wowww! š¤©š¤¤ My husband and I got accustomed to having what we call Shawarna Saturdays when there was a local convenience store that had a shawarma kitchen, until it closed down. (*Carrollton) So, we wanted someplace close to the Half Price Book store that we wanted to visit, and Al Reem popped up. Iām SO GLAD we went there to try! The gentleman was super friendly and inviting⦠especially since I walked in before he was ready to open, as I am accustomed to places opening at 11:00am. *We shared a mix of Beef Shawarma and Zinger (fried chicken tenders), with fries, and pickles. It came with a garlic sauce similar to Toum, which was tasty. The fries had a seasoning on it that was yummy. I typically canāt eat fried foods, because they bother my stomach, but I could eat a ton of those and just shrug off the after cause. **Then, to our surprise, the nice gentleman brought us (on the house), some falafels š§ to try. Those were the prettiest & tastiest falafels Iāve/weāve EVER had!!! Iām a pickle snob⦠and, I told my husband that if he goes to lunch there during work⦠Bring me home some pickles & falafels! I canāt wait to try their items! Ohhh, it was so classy in there⦠One of the cleanest restaurants Iāve been in. You HAVE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is clean, and the staff treatment is good, but there a few issues I hope they address. The spices on the fries have overpowering strong black pepper flavor. The heating of chicken shawerma wrap makes the aioli sauce separate so the wrap becomes oily. And they are actually not producing the mtawameh(toom/garlic sauce) flavor you get in the middle east, it rather tastes like aioli and you can actually confirm this with the yellowish tinge if the sauce. It should be white (they have a white version they keep for fried chicken and it is pretty good actually for that purpose) I guess depending on the origins of the restaurant owner they should do a better job maybe they ask someone from Jordan or Syria to get them a toomeyeh from overseas so that they have a benchmark. The beef meat shawerma could use more leyyeh taste and the chicken shawerma should definitely get a better sauce. They also should pay attention to the smell of smoking frying oil that greets you when you enter...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAl Reem Shawerma is truly a hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, welcoming service that made me feel right at home. But the real star of the show is the food. Every bite of the shawarma is fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The spices were perfectly balanced, the meat was tender and juicy, and the sauces added just the right touch.
Itās rare to find a place where the food not only satisfies your hunger but also brings back memories of family gatherings and comfort meals from back home. Thatās exactly what I experienced here.
On top of all that, the prices are very affordable, which makes enjoying a delicious, authentic meal accessible for everyone. Whether youāre stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed meal, youāll leave full and happy.
I highly recommend Al Reem Shawerma to anyone who wants great food, friendly service, and a little taste of home. Iāll definitely be...
