Love Thai food and hospitality and this place is right on. There's lots of Chinese in Richardson, but not enough Thai. The ambiance is really nice here. The staff is super friendly. In the beginning, the food was delicious and spiced just right, but lately the meals have been a little thin tasting. I say this because I hope they read this and get back to their roots! Their prices for a fried rice dish are just too high - it just rice! Their other prices are a little high, but not bad when their quality was so high. Get that taste back! And I will be back!
Update July 2021: Had dinner here and it was very good. The wait staff were pleasant and professional. The appetizers beautiful and tasty. Really loved to crunch of the corn patties! The Pad Grapow was great. There are not many Thai restaurants in Richardson so I'm very happy to have this one so close. I'm adding some pics of the wonderful meal we had. Oh, and this place is always very clean.
Update 10/10/2023: This is now a 5 star review. I'm leaving the above comments, but the owner is right, the prices here are actually very good especially considering the quality of the food, service and cleanliness of the facility. Try the Glazed Noodles if you like the Pad Thai. They will blow your mind! That brown sauce is amazing. We eat in there a lot, but it's also great for pickup and the food is always very hot and fresh. Also, the bathrooms are nice and clean. That is a very important factor for every place I rate as it generally indicates how clean everything is including kitchen! Good job guys.
Update August 29th 2024 this place has just gotten better. Ordered the Thai style stir fry with minced chicken it comes with an egg on top it is fantastic! It is super keto friendly just don't eat the rice and there is plenty of food to fill you up so you don't need the rice. The spring rolls are fabulous and the chicken Pad Thai is always great. It is also always very clean and the staff are also very helpful and friendly. The only thing I don't like is the two handicap spots in front are taken by people who are just picking up food and are not handicapped it is a major inconvenience for people who are handicapped. You guys need to put a sign out there that says no parking here for pickup only for handicapped. My friend is handicapped and this...
Read moreWe went there on Christmas evening around 5pm. 2 adults, 2 kids. When we arrived the place was almost empty.
The food was okay, they had some dishes that you don't see at other thai places. Pad Thai was super sweet and soupy. Basil fried rice had barely any Basil and was very mild when we specifically asked for very spicy. All the other dishes were really sweet too.
Service was HORRIBLE; the waitress in the Christmas tree outfit was mean. NO drink refills, NO cleaning of dirty dishes before more food was brought out, (the table was full of appetizer plates that are empty and they kept bringing the main entree and was about to put it on the dirty plates and I had to ask them to clean the table before they bring more food and maybe refill our waters), NO checking to see if food was okay or if we needed anything, and automatic 20% service charge for a family of 5, which was infuriating especially when there was no service.
Tables were so close that the chairs behind us were literally touching our chairs. Everyone was seated on the same side of the restaurant close to the kitchen when the other half was completely empty.
This was our first time and would not go back.
Edit: just from the tone in the reply I could tell it's the same mean waitress replying. Yes, we were given a big table but the kids wanted to sit on the more comfortable couches, we politely requested if you could change and we were told we couldn't combine the table if we want to sit at the table we preferred, so decided to sit on a four person table. That's no excuse to put new food on dirty empty plates. It proves my point that you have been passive aggressively being mean.
We got 5 waters and extra glasses for canned soda, we asked those extra glasses and one water to be taken away....
Read moreI have never eaten inside of Bangkok at Belt Line, but still, it is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Addison/Richardson area. I have tried about three different Thai restaurants near me, and this is my favorite by far. For one, even though I order delivery the meals are consistent in flavor, amount, and freshness. Secondly, they are also consistent in adhering to requests in taking off ingredients or matching the desired level of spiciness. I find that most places try not to make it too spicy even if you ask for a level four (understandable), but I really like that they do. Lastly, the flavor of the dishes is muah. I have been hooked on this place for the past two weeks and dream of the Pad Kee Mow. They have the perfect ratio of noodle, veggies, and chicken. And I love love love that the veggies are not limited to just broccoli and bean sprouts or carrots, but also include tomato, cabbage, and onions. It really is my favorite dish from any restaurant. I’ve also had their Pad See Ew, which is just as delicious, but comes second to Pad Kee Mow. I also get the fresh spring rolls with just veggies. I have to get them no matter the dish. They are so light and filling and the peanut sauce has a beeeeautiful flavor I can’t get enough of. I’m so grateful to the cooks and the service staff at this restaurant, because they truly provide delicious and hearty meals, and never miss a beat. Glad I didn’t give up on my quest to find a Thai restaurant I loved over here...
