Little Stack Burgers — Restaurant in Richardson

Love this place!!! Everything about this place is top of the line. The employees, the food, the cleanliness are all great. I really like that this place is family owned and that they make everything but the mustard and ketchup in house. I had the Escabeche burger and it was fantastic. It had plenty of flavor but honestly wasn't over-bearing hot either like I sort of expected. The chipotle mayo has some kick (maybe more than the jalapenos). The bread was fresh as well as the veggies. The patty was thick and plenty big enough for two people. My husband ordered the chicken fried burger which is what everyone else raved about and I now know why. It was delicious. It was perfectly fried and smothered in some of the best gravy. The crispiness of the crust paired with the soft bun was incredible. Our friend had the patty melt which also looked incredible. We tried a couple of the stuffed jalapenos and they were tasty and definitely had that spicy kick I look for in jalapenos. The mozzarella sticks were pretty ordinary but tasty. We loved the fried pickles. The onion strings were good and salty and the fries were thick cut Kennebec. Let me just continue to say everything was wonderful. However, we ordered entirely too much food for 4 people. hehe.

I eat here often enough the Avocado Ranch Burger is my favorite with sweet potato chips. I went in the restaurant to place an order to go. I work 5 minutes from their store. I get to my desk and as I pick up my burger I notice the amount of grease, blood from the patty etc. being that I was so hungry I said you know it might not be that bad. I wrapped two paper towels around it. As you can see from the paper towels how bad it was. I wasn’t going to call , but I did with the intention to just inform them like “hey I just picked up food from there today wasn’t your best…you might wanna talk to your kitchen staff”. However when I called I spoke with Jason and when I told Jason that I just picked up food and the bottom bun is completely soggy. It was Jason’s response and reaction that upset me the most. His response was “well what would you like me to do” then it was “well burgers are messy, they get messy it’s a burger” so I then responded back with yes burgers are messy ,but I’ve eaten there plenty of times and have never had a soggy bun ever. As you can see no liner inside the box normally a liner is placed inside to help with grease. I wasn’t looking for a refund initially, but with his poor response of customer service. I told him to go ahead and refund me. The apology came after the fact which is wrong. I worked in customer service for over 15+ years that is not how you...

Always glad to support local businesses, but was unimpressed for the value of the overall experience I received.

Upon walking in, the atmosphere was dull with no "pop" or excitement. The cashier was very nice, but it was clearly evident she was not trained properly. She apologized, when asked if there was a combo meal with drink and fries, along with the burger, and then apologized again, once I asked if they had bottled beer. She did offer the menu, which helped me understand the different drafts. Unfortunately, $30 for burger, fries, and beer was way not worth it. The clientel that would be willing to pay for this price would need more ambiance, experienced staff, and service.

I have to say, the burger, fries, and beer were excellent! Hat's off to the Chef. However, for me personally, I revisit restaurants more so for the "Feel" and "service" than the food quality and presentation. I know others feel differently, but I will not return to pay $30 without tip, for the lack of ambiance, and untrained employees focused more on themselves (ear buds, phones, sitting with back to guest, not offering ketchup, napkin, etc...). Also, there was no presence of management any where, and just overly not impressed with the overall experience, but the food was good....sorry not worth the squeeze for me, rather do In-n-Out for the price...
