That little cafe in there was not good. Ordered onion samosas, pan bhaji and pani puri. Pani puri was average. Onion samosas were cold inside like they were frozen, the outside was dripping in oil. All you could taste was oil, not the food itself. Felt super greasy naturally. Not a pleasant thing to eat. The pav bhaji had no flavor at all. Like they forgot salt and spices. Absolutely not worth it and won’t return. I wish the store and the kitchen had separate Google listings because the kitchen is probably going to get bad reviews that have nothing to do with the store.

Store was clean and decently priced, no complaints there. Appreciated the sample of a new product. Wish they had some spoons in it instead of people using their hands to eat the samples from bowls.

Update: I take back that the store’s ratings are different. Bought a rice bag from them and opened it today to find it full of bugs and extremely dirty. Too bad I threw away the receipt and can’t return. It conveniently says by the rice bags that you can return without a receipt. I guess they expected returns. Never...

To all customers shopping at Desi Brothers in Richardson, TX, beware! Many of their food products do not have packaging or expiration dates, including essentials like dosa batter and some dried, packaged snacks. I personally bought a snack that turned out to be spoiled. When I returned it and asked the person in charge why the products lacked proper labeling, they had no clear answer and simply said, “It comes from the manufacturer like that.”

This is unacceptable and violates both FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations and Texas Health Code, which mandate that all food products must clearly display a packaging date and expiration date.

This review is a call to the owner of the store to address and resolve these serious issues immediately. If this negligence continues, formal complaints will be filed with the health department to ensure our safety.

We ordered catered food for our event and it was fabulous! All our guests complimented that the food was amazing and tasted like delicious home-made meal. It was so nice to see all our guests were so happy including kids as it was perfectly spiced. The quantity they mention is also close to accuracy unlike others we have experienced. Spring rolls, dal tadka and rotis were the super highlight of our course. I found our goto caterers for all our next events. I would expect pasta on their list someday.
