I consistently receive the worst service possible from this office. Today I called to explain that I received a bill for someone else's citation and the lady on the other end said "ThEn WhY Is It oN YoUr AccOUnT?" instead of just trying to help me with the problem. The people that work here are stuck up and rude. Can't believe how much you pay just to park. Some of the cost should guarantee you a level of service that doesn't completely suck when you have a problem.
Additionally, they used to tell you which lots had available parking space if you called. You know, because they have a ton of minions running around giving tickets anyway, so they can just radio them to see if they are in a lot with available spots. That was really good for traffic mitigation. But now, they don't even do that anymore. They will read you the entire list of parking lots off their computer, then when you are more specific about trying to find EMPTY spots, they say they won't radio because the people hunting for parking violations in the lots are 'too busy.'
This office is complete garbage. Maybe having a few people that are actually trained with any degree of customer service that could work here would...
Read moreIt is absolutely ridiculous that for a friend to visit a person living on campus they have to park all the way in one of the lots instead of being able to make a visitor pass of some kind for them. Even worse when UTD has now made all the green parking on the outskirts of campus, making it impossible for commuter students to comfortably visit their friends that live on campus in both an efficient and affordable way. The complete disregard for students truly shows when it comes to the parking and transportation office. PS: they also dont seem to know their rules, as they gave me a citation for being parked EXACTLY where I was supposed to be parked. Whoever is in charge of parking has a true evil in their heart, and are determined to make students feel powerless. As a grad student that has to drive between two places for their program, it has been especially frustrating and stressful to figure out parking at UTD. And this is the only place I can make sure my grievances reach them, and even then, it still doesn't make a true difference for students. What a waste of my (very...
Read moreBe careful you park in the right spaces and pay the correct way. This parking authority is nothing more than a bunch of unprofessional weasels who can’t properly handle nor communicate proper parking enforcement. I personally got a parking ticket for parking in a purple spot that was still clearly marked with a number for the metered parking even though it was literally one space over from another metered spot and there were literally zero other vehicles in the parking garage because it was summer time. As if anyone else was missing out on that spot. The parking authority was closed and I made a more than reasonable request for the parking ticket to be dismissed through the campus parking website and the wienie manager couldn’t even take the time to make his pathetic response until after the ticket was eventually paid. Honestly why do you even bother offering an option to fight the parking ticket if you’re going to deny it anyway. If the university needs funds that badly, try getting it from...
