I just want share an experience I had today. My 7 year old son and I stopped, to get some fresh fruit from the stand at the corner of Edison and Clearwater in Kennewick. We decided on blueberries and some cherries. There are only 2 of us and it's a couple days before payday, so I don't buy what we can't eat. While we were there the kind man working there asked if we'd like some honey as he and another customer told us about how yummy and local and great priced the jars are! I was so grateful for the info and will be back to get a jar soon! Anyway, I politely declined and out of a pure honest heart, I said, "sorry, not today, I'm just a struggling single mom, a few days before Day pay, just the fruit today, please." As it was our turn to pay for our cherries and blueberries, the same kind man that asked us if we wanted honey said. "Did I hear you say your a struggling single mom? Well then you deserve this"He he grabbed 2 more lage hand fulls of cherries and put them in my bag with my 1 pound I was buying. Then he took a square container of blueberries from the table and poured half of that in with my 1 pound of blueberries I was buying. All I could do was say thank you and I started crying. I was slightly embarrassed but so much more grateful!!! This was such and amazing experience for myself and for my son to witness. He is such a giving kid and to see complete strangers be so kind and giving to us was pretty amazing. Thank you so much. Both of the young men working in that stand today were so kind. We visited the tree stand on Argent and Rd. 68 it was a wonderful Christmas experience! Santa and Mrs. Claus were so great, my kids absolutely loved them!
