Personal opinion, I don't understand why they don't price match. They're selling Pokemon Ranger for $50 and I can buy it at Gamestop online for 35. I get they need to make money, and I'd rather support small business but not for that mark up.
When I asked them about it all I got was "sorry our prices are our prices and that's that." Which felt kind of like, a brush off when they could have at least asked me what I was even interested in. (I hadn't mentioned the game name at this point literally only said "Hello, do you price match?") Probably won't be back because of insane pricing like 650$ for pokemon crystal too. You can get it online for under $100. Came from out of town for this store and was very disappointed.
Edit: Gamestop doesn't sell bootleg copies. I understand not matching eBay prices, but if I can get the same game (in better condition. Game stop came with a case, yours did not) why would I spend so much more for a copy without the case when I CAN get it from another reputable source I've never had problems with. That is the difference. I wasn't even ASKED about what I was interested in. I wasn't asked about where I had found it cheaper. I was not asked anything at all. I was brushed aside as an unimportant customer that the man working didn't have the time of day for. It was rude to not even maybe have a conversation with me about what I was even interested in.
This is less about pricing and more about the service. As someone who traveled for this specific store, it was so unwelcoming. My wife was appalled with how the man at the counter addressed me and we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was disappointed with my purchases. I bought a game and a used 64 controller. Both are defective. The controller doesnāt work well. The few times it works, the control stick is way off and the buttons very stiff. The game disc wouldnāt even read. Freezes during loading the first cutscene! Since I usually trust these guys, I didnāt thoroughly inspect the disc and threw away the receipt. Itās not until recently (7 days from purchase date) that I finally tried out my haul and noticed the problems mentioned above. Very disappointed as these problems could of been avoided if they actually tested their used items. Seriously, connecting the controller and playing any game for a few seconds will already let you know how buggy it is. Literally playing less than 5 minutes of the game would of also revealed its flaws. I donāt even think they test their used items because of how glaring these defections are. Also not happy that the 64 controller costed just as much as the game which is a little nuts. I canāt return this because I no longer have the receipt so now Iām stuck with some defective items but now I know not to fully trust this place, also this review is the only thing I can do to express my disappointment so here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly reason Iām not doing one star is because the guy upfront was super respectful I went in to buy an AV cable for my Xbox. I live all the way in East Pasco so I was pretty bummed out to get home and find out the cable did not work and my Xbox would flash orange and green (saying the AV cable isnāt connected) I tried reconnecting it multiple times, but nothing worked. The old cable I had would display a solid green light showing it works but nothing would display on tv which is why I went to buy a new one. I explain this to the guy working (who again was super respectful and Iām not one to ruin someoneās day by being rude just because theyāre following their rules) but they would not exchange my cable for another one or return it. He asked his boss but they also said no. I told him I would just buy another one then and when I got homeā¦. What do you know, it worked! Iām writing this review just because Iām Pretty bummed how this was handled since all my other visits have been super pleasant. Also I was right about it being a bad cable and now Iām just stuck with it and paying...
