I will never buy from Macy's again. When I first went into Macy's we work with a sale associate that was extremely aggressive. I was in the process of buying a new home. I was told by my lender to not run my credit or purchase anything on credit until the house closed in less than a week. when I inform the salesman of this, he continued to pressure me into purchasing to furniture that day and it wouldn't show up on my credit. I told him no, several times. I finally had to get mad before he would stop. When I returned in a week later. I explained to the new salesman that I preferred to work with someone else. The new salesman went and got the manager and made me explain the situation to her. I felt very uncomfortable. As the new salesman processed our order the old salesman hovered around the desk with angry eyes. Again, uncomfortable. Then I was told by the new Associate that I would need to pay the furniture off within a year to take advantage of the 0% interest rate. No minimum payment required as long as the balance was paid in full within the year. I received a Macy's credit card in the mail a couple of weeks later. I did not receive any other statements or information in regards to my account. 60 day's later I received a phone message saying that I need to make a payment in order to get my account back in good standing. ??? I called, was on hold for over an hour. gave up. Called again the next day. Was on hold for 25 minutes. Finally when someone answered. Her Accent was so strong and the connection was so bad, I couldn't understand a word. I was transferred to make a payment and was put on hold, again, for 20 minutes, finally someone answered.Tthe connection still making it very difficult to hear. I was told I would owe two months of late payments plus 2 late fees. Nothing could be done about the fact my credit would be damaged and I would now be accessed 24.99% interest on the remaining balance. I was told they had mailed me statements but they where returned. Yet they had the right address to deliver the furniture and to mail me a card. I was put on hold a third time so she could get a supervisor to assist me. Read moreI purchased my sectional on 9/29/2020 with an expected delivery date of 11/22/2020. On 11/13/2020, almost a week before my couch was supposed to be delivered, I received an email saying that our couch would now be delayed to 12/14/2020. Then on 11/20/2020, I received ANOTHER email saying that my couch would be delayed to 1/2/2021! I responded to the email asking when my sectional would arrive and that if it was delayed again, I would be canceling my order and taking my business elsewhere. I never said that I was cancelling my order, just that I would be if the delivery was delayed AGAIN. I received an email three days later on 11/23/2020 (today) saying that my order was cancelled and that I would not be charged. Well that’s funny because the $3,000 that I spent on this sectional was taken from my account on 10/6/2020, but yet I won’t be charged!? After waiting for two hours on hold, the call getting dropped, waiting another 30 minutes on hold, to just be told I need to go to my local store and speak with my sales rep.... There SHOULD be a check in the mail coming back to me in 3-6 weeks! Oh and I was also told that if my check doesn’t show up after the sixth week, to come back and call customer service again. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I am now going on three months with no couch in my new house and have to wait at least another six weeks so that I can go purchase something different. Read moreI found the grey leather (faux) sectional that I had been searching for. The selection was great and I'm please with the one I found. The costumer service on the other hand was horrendous, therefor I purchased the awesome sectional I found in the store, online instead. The man whom was "helping us" walked away to help another couple and didn't come back for a good 45 minutes. That was ok we understood. But he stopped every other eompkoyee from actually helping us telling them he was. 🙄 And then when he did finally come back he was extremely short, didn't take the time to answer any of my questions. I am pretty sure he didn't take me serious at all about purchasing the couch, and then walked away again to help someone else in the middle of me asking questions. As he walked away he said "let me know if you decide to buy it or not, I'll be up front helping someone else."
