After being a part of the specialty coffee scene in San Diego, it was wonderful to find a shop here at the level of coffee found in San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, and larger metropolitan areas. I'm not a fan of almond milk, but do to a dietary change, I had to go with it, and they know how to heat all the milks perfectly. I wouldn't have even known it wasn't milk it is was so perfectly heated. So many places burn milk and almond milk, so it interferes with the natural sweetness and creamy texture, but not Indaba. Their pourovers are spot on too if you like it black like we do. We also love their gluten free toast with egg/bacon for a light breakfast, breakfast burritos, and their baked goodies. It's a nice atmosphere for a work meeting, coffee with friends and family, or a place to go with your six year old to play card games while they enjoy a fancy chocolate milk or hot chocolate. So good. And the service is always friendly too. If you don't have time to sit down, then they have a drive-thru for a quick get-a-way. I like to buy friends and my son's teachers gift cards here to help support a local coffee shop. Their flagship is in Spokane, so it is as local of a roaster/coffee oufit you can get. And super high quality. Pick up some freshly roasted whole bean coffee for your home too while...
Read moreI have been a fan of the Local for a long time. It is a beautiful space and the employees are really interesting and kind. They work hard and typically care. It is a good place to work and meet people. When they get it right, they really get it right. I have had some of my favorite coffee right here, both drip and lattes. They really do Victrola's incredible coffee justice. Mostof the time the coffee is typically amazing, like seriously the best coffee in the Tri-cities, though it can be disappointing as the quality varies greatly from employee to employee. The wait time can be long and sometimes drinks get forgotten. The drive through does not seem to be a priority. I have to drink decaf nowadays, and more than half the time they are out. Because it can get slammed, oftentimes one can stand at the register for minutes without even being acknowledged. The bathrooms struggle. On more than one occasion they have been out of toilet paper or there is soap and scum coated all over the sink. There is a lot of room for improvement, but I would still choose the Local over any other coffee shop in...
Read moreGood coffee - one of the few places in Kennewick offering quality brewed coffee. Most other "coffee" shops in the Tri-Cities appear to just be selling sugared, fat, & flavored caffeine drinks or Americano which usually doesn't feature any spectrum of tasting notes, not to mention revealing the actual coffee flavors. While the capable barista was grinding the fresh roasted beans & brewing my pour-over order, I had a delicious traditional Macchiato. While tasty, the experience could be enhanced with shot of sparkling water (sidecar). I expect they would have added it if I would have asked for it. The Ethiopian washed was described as light roast with citrus notes. It seemed a little more like medium roast & lacked pronounced citrus or fruit but was fresh, hot, & tasted good. The environment was inviting & comfortable. Service was fast, friendly, & helpful. This is a great third wave coffee shop, one of the two or three best I've found in Kennewick/Richland/Pasco. I will...
