Commerce Bank — Local services in Richmond Heights

I am exasperated with this bank. The DeMun location was always understaffed such that it was usually a wait of 10 - 15 minutes in line to get to a teller window. But it was convenient to walk to from where I live. Now the DeMun location has closed "temporarily" without notice. A paper flyer on the door does not say when it will open again. It's just too weird when you go to your bank and it's not there, and they didn't have the curtousy to notify customers of this with a letter. I called another branch to ask when my branch is expected to reopen; a recorded message said the hold time will be "20 minutes or more." I have long felt Commerce has very poor customer service compared to other banks. Am planning to close my account after too many annoying experiences with poor customer...

If I could give zero stars and be able to post this first review, I would. Commerce Bank is the absolute worst bank, and I'm very sorry that I gave them over 20 years of my business. I am going to post a very detailed review once this nightmare I'm in is over, and write a very detailed letter about my experience to their Board, although given everything starts at the top, I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears and go in the trash.
