arrived at 525am got seated right away. the server didn't come back until 546am (mind you its only ONE OTHER COUPLE IN THIS RESTAURANT at this time)........ for some reason we always get this particular server when we come to this location. she is inconsistent, and always looks tired (eyes half open, slur words). she doesn't write our order down and when she brings our food it's not rite. I ordered the Belgian waffle with cracked eggs scrambled with sharp cheddar cheese, bacon and extra crispy hashbrowns. My husband ordered the Colorado omelet with crispy hashbrowns and toast. (535 am a party of 4 women came in, immediately ordered got their food, ate, was gone by 610) 630 we got our food (I saw it sitting in the window)......food was Luke warm (bacon, and eggs) Belgian waffle half cold, butter wouldn't even melt on it, she forgot the hashbrowns so I had to remind her of them an i had told her and the older lady hosting EXTRA CRISPY, I waited another 12mins for those AND they were not as I ordered. My husband did not get the toast. BY this time we weren't even interested in eating. we had been there for an hour. I really did not want to pay the bill, yet I am not one to cause a case because of service. We asked for to go boxes, she said okay then went to the couple behind us, took there order and didn't come back with the to go until 10 mins later. my husband by this time wanted to walk out and not pay for anything just leave the food. She came back with one to go box an the bill. Realize she one had one, left 3 mins later she brought another to go box. We hurried and put the food in the box and went to the counter to pay. she gave us the wrong bill, she was fumbling trying to charge us, so the man had to finish ringing us out......obviously we did not leave our usual $10 tip, nor to be honest do we tip this particular server because of her service towards us. by no means do I want my opinion to be taken in a wrong way, but I believe she isn't fawned of individuals of color. I say this because the 4 women were of pale tone pigment and they receive good service, the old man of pale tone pigment that got seated In front of us got good quick service (even got his food before us an he showed up a 550) and the couple behind us, of pale tone pigment before we left, got more attention than us. horrible service for 4 times in a row periodically over 6 months coming to this location. Read moreEarlier this evening, my boyfriend and I ordered from this IHOP. We chose the carry out option and ordered over the phone. We ordered a Classic Breakfast Sandwich among other things, picked our food up, and drove home. Upon opening our food we realized they gave us a cheeseburger instead of a breakfast sandwich, so my boyfriend called the store. He spoke to a woman who identified herself as Nina. She was extremely rude. Instead of simply stating IHOP’s protocol for returning food, she argued with my boyfriend over the phone for 5 minutes stating that he ordered the burger and that she didn’t make a mistake. During this conversation, she threatened to call the police if we came back to the store to return it and ultimately hung the phone up in the middle of my boyfriend speaking. He asked 3 separate times to speak to a manager and on only received an answer after the third time he asked. There was no manager on the property. The entire call was extremely unwarranted and unacceptable. We tried calling the store back twice and the calls went unanswered. In the process of trying to find a corporate number to discuss the disrespectful customer service, my boyfriends phone rang. Nina called him back to explain she had spoken to the manager over the phone. We were finally told IHOP’s policy on refunding orders- which was that we needed to drive back to the store to return the food. During the second conversation it was very clear that Nina thought we were lying so we decided to bring the food back just on principle. When we arrived at the IHOP to return the food, my boyfriend addressed Nina in person. He expressed his discontent about the ordeal and original phone conversation. Her only response was “ok”. At no point did Nina apologize for the interaction, phone call, or mistake. There was no action taken to amend the disrespect or rudeness. We love IHOP’s food, but this experience with Nina has truly left us speechless. I would think that such a well-known business would have higher standards...
Read moreToday, I decided to take my grandchildren for brunch and a movie. We agreed to dine at my favorite IHOP in the city. We pass two IHOPs to get to this location. To my surprise, MY EXPERIENCE TODAY WAS HORRIBLE!!! All due to the nasty attitude of the female server we started our experience with. This woman was dry and unpleasant to start but I ignored it. She delivered our food and failed to bring silverware or ask if we needed anything additional. When I brought to her attention that I didn’t order the mushrooms in my eggs but instead ordered jalapeños, she became argumentative and insisted I ordered the mushrooms. I don’t eat mushrooms so how does it make ANY SENSE that I would order them?! THINK!!!! After she disappeared under the pretense of having my food remade, I had to get up and go and ask for silverware and warm syrup because she didn’t return for 10 minutes. I also requested of another “girl” with a nasty attitude to ask a manager to speak with me. GIRL WITH ATTITUDE ONE returned with my food, which was still not prepared correctly, while I was speaking with the manager. I explained my opinion is they have young people who lack customer service skills working and it causes an issue. The manager asked the server to walk away while we talked. After the manager left, THE GIRL walked by and mumbled something about being 34 years old. I hope she understands that being older only makes her behavior WORSE!!!
