Went to this pharmacy because I needed syringes for my testosterone because I needed some for my weekly injection. The pharmacist denied selling them to me and she lied about the reason. I explained to her that I get my testosterone from the clinic that is next door to their building, and I told her who my provider was. I explained to her I was only there because the clinic is closed on Sundays, and I just got back out of the country that at 7 am that morning. Also that due to me being out of the country I missed my last two weeks of injections. She lied and said it was Georgia law that she needed to validate the prescription and have it filled there to be able to buy them. This is a blatant lie. I asked her if I showed her my medical records and show her that testosterone is on my medications list if she would be satisfied she said no you have to have it filled here. My wife and mother in law have been in pharmacy for 20 years combined and said she was full of it.
Georgia law states:
Rule 480-10-.13 Syringes for Injections Pharmacies shall keep syringes for injections behind the dispensing counter in their prescription departments and in no other place. No person other than a licensed pharmacist or a pharmacy intern/extern, acting under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, shall sell, distribute, exchange, or give, to any person a hypodermic syringe or needle designed or marketed primarily for human use. No hypodermic needle or syringe shall be sold by a pharmacist or pharmacy intern/extern, acting under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, if such person has reasonable cause to believe that it will be used for an unlawful purpose.
The important part is the last sentence. After being more than willing to provide her with any information she has no reason to assume I would be using them for an unlawful purpose unless her reason is for me not being white. I definitely don’t look like a drug addict, I’m fit, stay in shape. I’m a veteran, former federal law enforcement and currently work in a federally mandated drug tested position.
I would like to know what unlawful reasons she thought I would be using these...
Read moreI entered the store only a sweet old lady cleaning the shelf at the front of the store acknowledged me. I went to the back to drop my prescription off. Everyone was typing on their computers. No one had a customer. No one said anything. I thought maybe they didn't see me so I step back from the counter. No one still didn't say anything. No eye contact. Not even, someone would be with you shortly. I looked around the store. I'm unsure if they wanted to serve me. I felt out of place, like I didn't belong. I was video chatting with a friend who vitnessed the whole encounter. I stood there for about seven more minutes before a young lady ask if she can help me. She looked at the prescription, took it to the other end of the counter, came back and said the lady who billed the insurance is out and woukd be back in 25 minutes. She can makeca copy of my insurance and she return she'll see if she can do it. I gave her my insurance card. While I waited for her to come back, I looked around the store again. None of the ladies looked my way. No smiles. Oh then a man finally asked if I need anything. I had an uneasy feeling about there. This is my first time ever feeling like I didn't belong and out of place. I'm very big on Customer Service, especially with my career working for the government. When the young lady returned I told her never mind. I would take my prescription somewhere else and I asked for the copies of my insurance cards too. She said she can put them in the shedder. I replied, no thanks I'll discard them myself and left. I gave a one star because of the sweet old lady at the front of the store. If I can rate her separately I would have gave 5 stars. It seem like I can feel her smile from...

I did not have the money to pay for his prescription until tomorrow afternoon so I asked if I could come back then. I got in my truck and the lady that waited on me came back to get me. I went back in and she said it's taken care of. I said no it's ok I can get it tomorrow. She said no need that I already had enough on my plate. I did not even get her name, I was on verge of breaking down crying because there are not to many good people left in this world. She was an angel in my time of need and I can not say thank you enough to y'all for having her, she is very rare! She is soft spoken with auburn colored hair at pharmacy counter, if you see her please tell her that she is outstanding, wonderful, gracious, a complete angel! I'm sorry I didn't get her name but I did not want to be embarrassed crying like a baby in front of her. This is the type of person every company needs and more through out the world.
