First time visit by accident. I was too hungry to notice the signage about hot dogs. I just eased right in and, the first thing I always look for is its cleanliness. WOW! I didn't have to look hard. It just leaps right out and dazzles you from the start! I'm a very outgoing person, and I couldn't hide my immediate exclamations. The place is a very cozy small dinning area with lots of interesting photos adorning the room. It specializes in HOT DOGS. Did I mention that my nickname is Scrappy? Actually I'm the self-anointed World Famous Scrappy Jackson. After entertaining a few of the behind-the-counter, fantastically friendly employees with part of my comedy routine(no charge on either part), I chose a plain hot dog with the standard mustard and ketchup. It was cooked to perfection along with chips. (I'm allergic to certain food products and they were very quick to offer customization for any, and I mean ANY order. I took a table not far from two also very friendly ladies who had observed my routine. It turns out they were mother and daughter - you could have fooled me - and were owners. When I pointed out again how clean the establishment was, the daughter, Maddie, was quick to indicate the prominently displayed recent inspector's report. 100%! She finished by announcing that they had never had less that that on previous inspections, and I believe her. I couldn't believe it when her mother said, "We have a Scrappy, Jr. hotdog special." Yep! Right up there on one of the billboard menus over the counter. I promised I would try it fixed my way the next time I stop by. And believe me, that will be my first hot dog stop from now on! You should try it too! Oh! I almost forgot. Topped it all off with their banana pudding. Got the smallest(8 oz size} and glad I did. It was scrumptious and almost too much.

Read moreAbsolutely wonderful experience! We stopped by because my husband had saw it on the way to work, were from out of town (closer to metro Atlanta) for work. We were going to have Wendy's, but this was so amazing and probably better than they could ever do lol, no shade. Upon entering we were greeted by their happy and pleasant staff members, which is a change of pace especially in today's restaurant scene. I always like friendly faces! :) The lady who took my order was super sweet.
The food was really good! I had the BBQ sandwich and boy do they stuff it with BBQ pork! I had to eat it with a fork first, so I was able to bite it, that's how much they put in it. My only critique is that I enjoy barbeque with more sauce, and they just put it on top, no huge deal. I just like the pork a little less dry. I'll just ask for more next time. Hubby loved the hotdogs and brisket beans. Oh, and our order came out EXTREMELY fast, like we had just sat down for a whole 60secs kind of fast. The whole vibe there is great, and everyone there looks like they actually enjoy their job, which we need more of in our world! Far too many places are a drag to work at.
Anyways, we just got finished eating the 'Nanner puddin' I had ordered for later as a snack, (which, I was greeted by 4 people when I wanted to order before we left, that surprised me!) and it is SOOOOOO good. You can't have nanner puddin without nanners or nilla wafers. It is for sure the best I've had from a restaurant.
5 stars, we will be back if we are ever in...
Read moreThis isn't about quality so much as quantity. I'm all for great taste and don't mind that this isn't a local family place, it's CHAIN FOOD folks. You don't smell smokers or grills... here's the deal of the food review. After purchasing our order for $19.00, we got our drinks and chips due to the LACK OF SIDE options. Upon getting our order, we sat and I stared at a singular 6-8 in bun with pork and brisket on it. I'm a foodie and savor my meals, however, it was gone in three bites. That wasn't the best 8.50 I have spent. I look at my wife as she stares at my "basket" lacking a meal so much as a tapas meal or an hors d'oeuvre . I stare at her meal that is two of the smallest, most regular, unoriginal hotdogs with average to mediocre toppings. Again, not the best $8.50 ever spent. I will only go back to this place if given the ability to take free samples of these extra small serving sizes. There's absolutely nothing above average about this place or food. In addition, it's below average in size, quantity, and uniqueness. Don't spend the money here...
