Me and a friend of mine have been visiting the restaurant for weeks now, but slowly it has dropped its standards, first thing was a cup with lipstick on it; I called the waitress and told her about it, she didn't apologize, she just said she would bring me a new cup, even though she was the one that brought the first one, so I thought that was unprofessional, so I made a joke and told her that if it was her make up, it would be ok. I was being fastidious about it, like trying to tell her, yes of course, you can just bring me another and I wouldn't need an apology, because it's your lipstick; like if I would really want her, or anyone's lipstick on the cup; NOT!!!!! Anyway, than we go back and the bacon given us seamed to have been dipped in oil, we accepted it the first time, thinking it may have been a bad day, so we went back the following Saturday and again the same issue, so this time it was brought up to the waitress attention, so the following weekend they give him pieces of bacon, instead of strips, so again we stay quiet. Than today 7 Jan 2017, my friend decides he will get no bacon and ask for a muffin and eggs, I ask for toast, grits, scrambled eggs and bacon; which again were soggy, well both his toast and mine are greasy, the grease taste like old butter, butter that has been heated, and reheated various times. So we talk to the waitress who served us, who than calls her supervisor; so this waitress comes and tells us that she doesn't even like the butter they use on their bread, and that we can ask for dry toast, and use the butter given us in a rapper; so I wonder, why even put butter on the toast in first place, if you give us packaged butter; especially if you yourself think the butter is bad. Than she says we should ask for newly cooked bacon, instead of the bacon they have stacked at the grill, if we wanted bacon with less grease on it. She explains where they toast their bread, which is BS, because she said they run them through one of those small conveyer belt toasters, but the toast given me, seemed to have been placed on a grill because the edges are scorched, on both sides, something that will not happen on the toaster they supposedly used. The whole thing is that their food has become garbage, the customer service sucks, because instead of telling the customer what they need to fix the issue, they need to find how they can fix themselves. I am from up north, and even though down here in the south large amounts of butter, grease, etc., are used, not everyone likes that and it's something they need to think about especially in a military community like this one, where there are people of all parts of the...
Read moreRefuse to ever come here again and deter anyone from coming here. I ordered an omelette and payed an upcharge for hashbrowns which is fine. I picked up the food, came back to my shop and noticed that the hashbrowns were so hot that it literally burned through the styrofoam container. I threw them away and did not call back to tell them, I understand restaurants have their off days and that's okay. Next week i place the same order and ask the worker if they can please put parchment paper between the hashbrowns and styrofoam this time. Picked up the order and the girl handed me my food saying that the parchment was there. Foolish me took her word and when i got to my shop yet again to see huge burnt holes with hash browns coming out of the bottom. Taking time away from work i drive back and ask if I get my money refunded. She said there is no manager that can refund my money but she could get my food remade which was still melting the styrofoam through the paper. She told me she would leave a note the manager Grace that never called me back. I call next week to tell Grace the situation and was amazed by the incompetence. I asked for a meal comp and she said she did not have the authority to do that which is an absolutely ridiculous lie. Realizing she did not care about the customer i asked to talk to the owner but i never received a call back. Later i checked my bank account and saw i was charged $17 for omelette and hash browns. Not only was I lied to multiple times, I was also robbed by them. I actually use to barista for the owner John and i never treated him anything close to this, i know he would not approve....
Read moreWhile staying in Pooler, GA over Labor Day Weekend, we'd spotted an Omelette House near our hotel. But on our last day, when we stopped in for breakfast before hitting the road, we found at least 20 people waiting to be seated. If we hadn't been ancy to head home, we would have waited, because a line is an excellent sign of a good restaurant! So... Knowing there was another Omelette House in Midtown, I did a Yelp search to see if there were any on our way home off of I-95...and this Omelette Cafe in Richmond Hill came up! Once we arrived, I noticed their menu included the Pooler location & another in an area I didn't recognize. Service was friendly & quick, and the prices were very reasonable. And the food was awesome! Their grits were amazing... As were their hash browns. My ham, spinach & Swiss omelette was huge & delish... My only complaint is that the eggs were very thin... They were scrambled, and pressed. Then wrapped around the ingredients, like a burrito. Quite different than what I expect an omelette to be, yet incredibly delicious. The coffee was good, too. The others in my group all enjoyed their breakfasts... I noticed the blueberry pancakes...
