Wow... so the waitress was offended at everything we did and made sure she let us know by giving us a disgusted ANGRY looks throughout our visit and speaking her mind- it was quite awkward but we just showed her kindness and were very polite. From us asking if we could move three tiny tables together for our party of five instead of squeezing around two, to other awkward things to get upset about, LIKE... my friend spoke SPANISH to my other friend across from her at our table as the waitress approached the table then my friend REPLIED in Spanish as she was sitting down and wasn't even speaking to the WAITRESS she JUST HAPPENED TO LOOK AT THE WAITRESS as she was sitting down she SHE WAS saying the Spanish word while she was APPROACHING THE TABLE and she rudely remarked "I don't speak a Spanish, THAT'S NOT MY LANGUAGE, I don't know what your saying i no speak Spanish"...all upset and angry" FOR REAL as she walkd around to the other side of the table just shaking her head like she was disgusted...we weren't even talking to her she was just weird about everything we were doing... obviously we were a mixed group black, white, and Spanish and she was treating us as though we were being racist or something...CLEARLY NOT.
ANOTHER THING THAT BOTHERED ME WAS...I'm white and was given this HUGE amount of food like it's supposed to be at this kind of restraunt... and my black and Hispanic friends got LITERALLY trace amounts of food it was absolutely absurd FOR THE PRICE THEY PAID (which they paid more than i did)I WOULD HAVE SAID KEEP YOUR FOOD and I'll keep my money... I SHOULD'VE TAKEN A PICTURE.... I won't be back here personally, if my friends go that's on them, my personal food was good but theirs looked terrible as well as tasted terrible and was unacceptable. Idk if this place is under new management or what but it was nothing like the first time I came here but that's been some years ago... the food was served after the whole "us speaking Spanish to eachother thing" and I understand having a bad day as a waitress or whatever but just go home early don't dump all that on customer's who are just having a good time going to what's supposed to be a nice dinner at a restraunt and having nice conversation amongst themselves. I tipped her but I would've given much more if she could've just snapped out of all that.... it was just so uncalled for.
IF she wouldn't have come in half way into us talking with eachother to interrupt or waited for us to finish she would clearly had a better assessment of what was actually taking place and not snap at the customer's. As though if my friends said something with their accent she thought they were making fun of her or something, I'm sure there are people who do those kinds of things BUT NOT US. We were being super polite to the lady.... if she reads this tell her "we don't think your accent is funny" maybe she gets made fun of a lot idk... we DIDN'T think she was Spanish that's for sure but If we had asked , " where are you from?" She would've been even more upset THIS IS AMERICA we were a group of literally 4 different nations at one table....we together as a group speak Chinese, Spanish,Swahili, French, Creole and English if you really thought we were speaking to you and you had some other language you speak.... instead getting offended you could've just spoke your language and just said "hello, in your language" and kindly said that's how you say hello in my language and then say the name of your language.
We would've have told you if its another language we'd like to learn one day. THE POINT HERE IS... be kind YOUR PLACE OF ORIGIN most people could care less where you're from, BUT YEAH THERE'S SOME SICK RACIST PEOPLE ALSO but most people are interested in where people are from whether your from another state or a whole different country but your language sounds awsome to some people and they are fun to learn to speak. No one is judging you and if they do, they're missing out. But just to make sure you know our group was NOT THAT WAY AT ALL, so try to give...
Read moreWalked in and waited around for 5min or so for someone to greet us. We ended up just grabbing an open table and seating ourselves. Waited another 4-5min and I got up to get my own menus. Another minute or so, I told the guy hiding in the back room on his phone that I grabbed menus and we seated ourselves. The response “I’m not a waiter.” Ok cool. I don’t know who is at this point.
Servers came out quickly after that and got our drinks and appetizer/food order. Then ghost town for almost an hour. Wasn’t busy at all when we ordered, picked up about 15min after that. People came in after us and got their food.
I think the priority in the kitchen was phone in to go orders but at the same time those people came in to pick up and were still waiting too.
About 1hr 45min total for 4 rolls and a bowl of pho. Food wasn’t bad but after waiting so long it didn’t matter how good it was.
I had such high hopes for this place because they have such a diverse menu. Maybe that’s...
Read moreI absolutely would never recommend this place . I’m a server myself so i can understand A LOT. But this place was an absolute embarrassment of an establishment. We needed a table for 6 people we sat outside because the weather was nice . we waited 20 MINUTES to even be asked what we wanted to drink and be greeted. the server (wish i could have caught her name ) was rude from this point on . we spent about 170$ we were all on the same ticket super easy table . Food was absolutely gross we had pho that tasted like sewer water , papaya stir fry was a joke, dumplings tasted like they were frozen for a year . and to top it all off they disrespected my military family and added a 30$ grat for a 6 top . this place is a joke. I asked for lime, cilantro and jalapeño for my pho and the server was an absolute rude...
