Beware of their policies. They are extremely strict. My husband bought me a push present while I had an extended stay in the hospital from birth complications along with a NICU baby that was there even longer. The piece from EWD came, was the wrong size, and we figured that we could exchange it or resize it. Between the trips back and forth to the hospital and eventually bringing our newborn home, we lost track of the days. We realized on day 15 that we were a single day outside of the 14 day exchange window. We called and emailed in hopes to exchange it for store credit to get something else and they felt they had to stick to their 14 day policy even after I offered to pay to size the ring back to its original size. So I am stuck with a ring I probably won’t wear very often. It’s disappointing for a lot of reasons, but the total lack of compassion stands out. This will certainly be my last purchase from EWD.
Editing to add: the business responded saying they weren’t aware of the situation and that’s certainly not true because I spoke both on the phone and in person with an associate and they were clear on our situation and dissatisfaction and were not at all helpful in trying to find a solution. Totally understand there are policies, we were happy to pay for a resolution that would make the ring wearable for someone else but we’re just told No. Again— this review is to warn others of their policies which aren’t super clear and seem to be kind of arbitrary. They will have to forgive the brain fog that comes along with a hospital stay, but we tried to communicate and be flexible but they just were not interested in...
Read moreThe moment my now-fiancé and I decided to start looking at engagement rings, we knew Emily Warden was the perfect person to create my dream ring. I inherited a classic solitaire and matching diamond band from my grandparents, and we decided to transform these heirloom pieces into something unique and personal to us.
After emailing back and forth with design ideas, Emily's team set an appointment for me and my partner to visit her store in person to finalize the ring. We brought the heirloom diamonds with us to hand over and discussed the finishing touches (plus my sizing). Emily and her associates were friendly and communicative every step of the way.
Though there was a slight delay in the final product due to a misunderstanding with her metal caster, Emily was quick to recast it and ensure that the ring turned out exactly how we wanted. She clearly puts her customers' needs and vision above all else.
The ring turned out absolutely STUNNING. She used the center diamond I provided as well as two smaller white diamonds from the matching band (we'll use the others for additional custom pieces later), adding peach and pink stones to the side clusters for a pop of color. It's a beautiful tribute to the original rings while still fitting our personalities and vision perfectly.
11/10 would recommend Emily Warden Designs for a piece you'll cherish for generations! Thanks...
Read moreThe jewelry is great and really nicely designed, and I love supporting a local shop, so the product is great. I don't have issues there. The staff is also very friendly and helpful in describing their different pieces. The website is easy to use and navigate, and it is a pretty easy process to make a purchase. Before I get to my complaint, I will say that I overall like this shop and will likely shop here again. HOWEVER, my main issue is that I spent thousands of dollars with them at the end of October as a new customer exactly one day before they announced a 20% off black Friday sale. One day! I bought everything at full price, and it would have been nice if someone had mentioned to me that they typically run a black Friday sale every year and that I might want to hold off on my purchase if it wasn't urgent. They unfortunately do not allow returns, so now I am out an extra $400+ that I needlessly spent. To the owner's credit, she did offer me a 5% off discount on any future order which I have already taken advantage of), but it felt like a bit too little too late.
Anyways, it's still a great local shop, just be aware -- THE BLACK FRIDAY SALE IS WHEN YOU WANT TO SHOP. If you can wait, you should. They told me that they do it every year, which makes it even more infuriating that nobody would have thought to tell me. Oh well,...
