Our visit to Richmond was amazing, in large part due to the wonderful experience we had at the Boulevard Inn. The Inn is beautiful and the owners have done such a nice job of renovating and updating, while maintaining its integrity, and the design and decor is perfect. Our room was charming and very comfortable. The public spaces were well-considered and set the stage for conversation with other visitors and the staff. I can’t say enough about the hospitality provided by the lady and gentleman who checked us in and out, delicious breakfast and wine and charcuterie they served, made dinner reservations for us, and shared stories about the history of the Inn (I am terrible with names and am so sorry not to give them the credit they deserve). Our bedroom had beautiful wallpaper and velvet drapery, carefully curated furnishings (including a book about the Bon Air community, for which the room was named), and the house brand toiletries - so inviting! The convenience of being able to walk to museums, restaurants and shopping was a plus. Rather than getting up and getting on the road after breakfast, we sat in the library and read and relaxed. We’ve stayed in several 5-star hotels and inns in the states and abroad and our experience at the Boulevard Inn was on par with them. Can’t...

Speaking of which, our room was spacious and comfortable, with our own temperature control, a big closet, chairs, and huge windows that let in the morning sun – but with thick curtains if you want to sleep in! The bathroom was big, with a generous supply of nice towels.
It's the people that make a B&B, and Mitch and Roni, the proprietors, were cheerful morning hosts, dishing out breakfast, conversation, and advice for visiting Richmond. The buffet of fresh fruit (perfect!) and morning pastries (all delicious!) is quite a sight, but Mitch and Roni follow up with an appetizing selection of freshly cooked breakfast dishes.
Evening host Jeffrey put on a wine and cheese reception each night for guests to meet and chat over an incredible spread of cheese and charcuterie, pickles and olives, dried fruits and jams, and the owners’ justly famous homemade pimiento cheese spread, along with a choice of red, white and rosé wines.
Our stay was just a pleasure from start to finish. No question where we’ll stay next time...

Mitch, Roni and Jeffrey demonstrated their brand of warmth and a generous spirit that goes way beyond what I'd call exceptional hospitality. My husband and I were on a whirlwind weekend trip to Richmond for a family event and reunion with friends. The weather sucked and there was a lot crammed into a short time. And truth be told, it's not hard to summon my inner-Karen.
When we think back on this special weekend with people we've known and loved for decades, we will both think of Jeffrey, Mitch and Roni, as an integral part of the experience.
Now, on to the things. Everything the prior guests say about the upscale charm, tasteful decor, yummy breakfast, vibe, location and comfort is 100% on point. Attention to detail is their superpower.
I absolutely loved walking out of my suite and into the spacious working kitchen. I'm a cook and the kitchen is my happy place at home, so that was a source of calm and comfort. My husband was equally content and impressed. He loved the great company too but misses the quiche most of all I think! 🥓 🥚
Thank you from the bottom...
