Whim — Local services in Ridgefield

My mother and I decided to walk inside Whim for the first time ever. We were not greeted when we entered as the cashiers were too busy talking to each other. After looking around for about 5 minutes, my mother and I walked out, unimpressed with their clothing. We were chased outside of the store and my mother was accused of stealing something. My mother had walked into the store holding her pink blouse, but the workers clearly didn’t notice as they didn’t greet or even look at us when we arrived. There were about 10 other people in the store and they chose the ONLY person of color to accuse of stealing. We were completely humiliated in front of people both in the store and on the street and beyond offended by these cashiers. We told them that they should have watched us upon arrival, not only when we left, and they would’ve known from the beginning that she walked in holding that shirt. I came in the store today extremely anxious and shaking trying to quickly find a pair of pants and leave. I was pacing through the store and I admit was probably a distressing sight. Within 2 minutes though, I had chosen a pair of pants and asked the young sales associate helping me for a size small. The older woman who was clearly annoyed with me being in the store in my state said across the room, “are you sure that size is going to fit you?”. I was so taken aback that I bought the pants and left. The $70 overalls are too long and big on me, but I’m too embarrassed to enter the store again. This place has very cute clothes but horrible service, honestly one of the worst services I have experienced. The staff was just straight up rude. I asked for the price and they said it’s on the tag, like clearly it wasn’t. They just kept yelling at all of my friends and I. They were cursing at my friend for a simple sneeze. I will never go back here just because of the nasty employees. They need to be fired if they want their store to stay...
