Finally stopped in at Tablao to give their tapas a try as I tend to be a big fan of the small plate restaurant model that encourages sharing and trying new things. Me and company came out for a weekend lunch and while it wasn't very busy there were still other ppl seated enjoying their meals. The layout of the restaurant is fairly open and we'll designed with enough natural lighting to feel comfortable. Nothing over the top or unsightly so pretty much what you would expect For food we ordered a bunch of tapas and spilt a couple mains and dessert. The overall verdict on everything was kind of a mixed bag, let me explain 👇 The bacalao fritters weren't the typical dried cod and a bit disappointing The chorizo tapas were fine with a good flavor and nice balance but again a bit disappointing, the chorizo had a lot of smoked pimenton (paprika) and not much else to it, very one note. The stuffed squash blossoms where probably my favorite thing with the mixed grill falling a bit flat with a fairly bland chimichurri. For dessert we had a crema catalan and a pana cotta.... the crema was stiff and not at all custardy while the pana cotta was solid but kind of missing a bit of pop. Overall it was decent but nothing that blows me away compared to some other tapas bars in the state.

Sat at the bar here for a Valentine’s Day date night and was reminded why we love this spot. Friendly staff, delicious eats, great beverages and a fun atmosphere make this a gem in Ridgefield. Slightly off the main drag, but there are a number of restaurants back in this area with somewhat ample parking. May have to drive around a bit or use a lower lot, but typically can find a spot. Love the interior with the wood and glass and nice mix of seating options with table, high tops by the bar and plenty of bar seating. We’ve tried a bunch of the food here and have never been disappointed. Hangar steak perfectly cooked with a super tasty chimichurri. Eggplant tablao fun but a little dry. Gambas so so tasty - gotta get some bread for that sauce. Octopus super tender but needed a sauce with the potatoes. Pro tip - dipping in the shrimp sauce. Great spot and will be back!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Danny was beyond amazing and accommodating. We celebrated my friend's birthday there and it was one of the best meals I've had since I moved to CT. The black Paella was an experience. Everyone on the table agreed that we have not had a Paella like that anywhere...it had a generous amount of seafood and meat. We had a couple of tapas to start...I recommend all of them. We had a bottle of Bonanza to accompany our food! It was beyond perfect. The service was 10/10 Danny continued to check on us and the baby at the table. He accommodated us and allowed a cake from outside. The whole staff came out and sang Happy Birthday with us. This was a 10/10 experience. This is now my favorite restaurant!

One of the best restaurants in Ridgefield, if not the whole area!!!! Tablao is a beautiful restaurant, with a kind and compassionate staff who truly cares about their customers! The food, for a tapas place of this incredible quality, is well priced, and is absolutely delicious. Well seasoned, beautifully plated, and so so lovely!!!! I wish I had pictures of our tapas but wow, they were eaten so quickly from how fantastic they were!!!! As a family of four, we were seated pretty quickly, especially for not having a reservation. The staff were super friendly, and came by to check on us a few times while we enjoyed our wide range of tapas, greeting us with smiles, witty humor, and plenty of fantastic suggestions!!!! We loved too how good natured the servers were with one another, and how well the restaurant has adapted to social distancing. It felt both private and social all at once, and we adored it!!!! We ordered a variety of items, including the cheese croquettes, the Brussel sprout salad, the spinach (A HIGHLIGHT AND MUST TRY), the tortilla española, and the special of the day: the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms. It seemed our food was inhaled that day, complimented by a wonderfully refreshing sangria. In our family, dessert is something we take quite seriously, as it is the sweet note to end the meal. And we ended up enjoying the tres leches and the bread pudding. They were beautifully presented, artfully crafted, and tasted fantastic!!!! What was even better: how happy we felt from the fabulous experience of getting to eat at Tablao- if you’re curious to try the food, please do go for it!!!! You are on your way to a wonderful food adventure that is delicious, creative, and fantastic!!!! A true reminder of the beauty of Spanish cuisine, and a real highlight to my restaurant experiences...

Incredible Happy Hour (M-F 3-6pm) with half off tapas, wine, beer and cocktails. Had 8 tapas for $50: Grilled Calamari - flavorful especially the salsa, but tough (overcooked) Pulpo ala Gallega (Grilled Octopus) - tender and flavorful, but not much of a serving size (potato slices underneath unnecessary and not flavorful). Chorizo Espanol - great dish with shitake mushrooms and minimal white beans. Best sized portion of the group. Would order again. Gambas ala Plancha (Grilled Shrimp). Great flavorful dish with 5 jumbo shrimp, would also order again. The chickpea puree was good but different than expected. Nothing like hummus. Spanish Stuffed Peppers (3) stuffed with vegetable and oxtail. The best dish of the group. Salmon Tartare - also excellent dish with about a cup of the flavorful tartare. A definite recommended dish. Duck Breast - the worst of the dishes. Overcooked (5) slices. Would NOT order again. -Grilled Portobello with Grilled Asparagus. Excellent. Both cooked to perfection. Our second favorite. Atmosphere was modern, and staff attentive without being overbearing. This is my favorite in Ridgefield. (Only a 10 min detour from I-84). Free parking for 2 hours on...
