Zoe & Co Sugarbeads — Local services in Ridgefield

A friend and I were so excited to walk into Zoe & Co, they have A LOT of beads and findings and other things unrelated to beads. Being a jewelry designer, I wanted to find some 4mm round gemstone beads for a bracelet I wanted to make. No one Greeted or Welcomed us, so we looked around to see if we could find what I needed, and when we couldn't, I kindly asked the young man there to help me. This was when my hopes for this beautiful bead store to assist me had me walking, well running, out the door. Maybe I explained my vision to someone uninterested, but I had hoped he'd help me find the gemstone beads I desperately needed, he said he was certain they had all 11 gemstones, but I was on my own to find them in the sea of different shapes and sizes of beads. (as he pulled out his chair and began to sit back in it) Having worked in a bead store, many moons ago, I was taken aback by the lack of help finding what I needed. I know beads, shapes, sizes, faceted and not. But when they are all on a rod clustered together, or in a bin not clearly marked, in colorways and many different shapes, it can be a bit hard to weed through the many. Wow - this store is INCREDIBLE. I went there yesterday looking for materials to purchase to help strengthen my students fine motor skills and further their jewelry assemblage knowledge. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating. Andie and Jason patiently guided me throughout Zoe & CO explaining what each section of the shop had to offer. They also were able to offer multiple great ideas for projects I could do with my children. Visiting here was such a breath of fresh air. Andie and Jason are genuine, kind people who sincerely care about helping each person that walks through the door of Zoe & CO. Also, do you know how refreshing it is to find high quality products that are not insanely marked up these days?! All of the supplies in that shop were WAY better quality and lower prices than anything else I have come across in other art supply stores. If you haven't been here yet, definitely check it out! Friendly, amazing staff and a plethora of high quality products at low prices - doesn't get much better than that! I love Sugarbeads & more.... Amazing inventory of all types of beads; precious, semi precious, pearls, glass, shell, metal, along with sterling silver and gold beads and findings. Incredible selection of metal chain and leather in all colors. Everything needed to create beaded jewelry is in this store. Great classes for adults and children. I took the crochet necklace class and loved it. Complementary use of the stores work table and tools is an added plus. Everytime I enter the store I'm met with a warm and friendly greeting. The new owners, Andie and Peter are wonderful! Love the changes you've made to the store! The glass display case's are now filled with finished jewelry made by talented, local designers.
