The Ridgefield Historical Society is a community based group who are dedicated to keeping alive and documenting the rich, 300 History of the Town of Ridgefield and its surrounds. They are making a good, searchable online collection - the building they are in is a charming preservation - and they can help you with a walking tour of the mainstreet in Town. This is not like going to Williamsburg, or Sturbridge - but for those who are interested in the New England British and European settlement period - this is a very good resource. It is probably not a great place for young children - but more for adult...
